January 2022 Ministering Handout

Happy New Year Everyone!  I am excited to bring you the January 2022 Ministering Handout!

I love the new year!  It is a fresh new page to the story we are going to write in 2022.  Do you like to set goals?  I like to make goals that I can work on all year or that I can continue working on from year to year.  How about you?

The thought this month is one that I have been thinking about for several days now.  As a result, I came up with a word that represents what I want the new year to be, or something that I want to work on.  But, this is something that we could work on our entire life!

The word is, “Become”.

We are all striving to become something or someone.  In the church, we therefore, should all be striving to become like God. There are  two different talks that are used for the quotes in this handout.  The first quote is from Dallin H. Oaks.  It comes from a talk given in Oct. 2000,  “The Challenge to Become”  This quote is in the first paragraph of this talk, and I LOVE IT!

The second quote is from Dieter F. Uchtdorf and comes from the talk,  “Becoming Like Jesus Christ.” This quote is also in the first couple of paragraphs and I love the saying…”To follow Christ is to become more like Him”.   So by simply following the Savior, we become more like Him!  How great is that?

To print as a jpeg image, simply right click over image and go to “save image as”.  Then save in a folder.  You can print from there or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.  All images are formatted to a 4 x 6 size.

All of my printables, are for personal use only!  They are not for resale!
Here is the blank card, for those of you that would like to translate.  Or if you are in need of a cute card, note, handout or invite, this is perfect for you!Included  is also a darling tag for you to use.  You can tie this to a pair of warm, fuzzy socks.  Or if you would like to use this blank tag:you could edit it and tie to a pair of gloves, a beanie, a scarf, hot chocolate, or anything else that you would like to share with your sisters.

    1. Roseanne, I need to get back to my sewing ideas. During covid, I learned how to do hand lettering and doodling and how to make cute sugar cookies with royal icing. I have not posted any of these ideas because I am also involved in caring for family members. I need to get back to a better routine and start posting more. For now, you can follow me on Instagram to see some of the things that I have been learning. Thank you so much for your kind support. I appreciate it.

  4. Again, I want to let you know how much I appreciate your talents and willingness to share with all of us so that we can share, also, with our sisters that we minister to. Bless you during your caregiving time with a loved one. I’ve been there, too, and it is time consuming, and sometimes challenging. All the more reason to be grateful for you and the time you share with us online. Grateful in Oregon, Di

    1. Di, thank you so much for taking the time to write your kind comment. I appreciate your words and your sweet support. Caregiving can be a great blessing and a great trial all at the same time. But I try very diligently to have faith and hope and go forward each day with gratitude in my heart. Of course, some days I do better than others.:) The ministering handouts have been a great blessing to me because if forces me to look outside of myself and look to serving others! Happy Ministering! Grateful in Utah, Rita

    1. Kim, You are welcome. Thank you for taking the time to write your kind comment. I loved hearing from you and appreciate your comments and your sweet support. Happy Ministering.

    1. Nancy, You will need to import the tag into a word processing program or any program that will let you add text. You then simply type what you want and can change the size and font to anything that you like. You will need to import the blank tag, to do any editing. Hope this helps! Happy Ministering!

  6. Hi Rita,

Thank you for your wonderful help with a little handout for ministering. Some times I use your quotes, other times I use your templates and use a quote I think is better suited for my sisters that month. I also help my mother by making them for her and she loves them. Thanks again for sharing your talents!
