October 2018 Ministering Handouts!
This if for the ministering program in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Is it really October already???
Although, I am really loving the cooler weather that we are finally starting to have, and the beautiful sights, smells and tastes of the fall season!
For this month I chose a thought from Pres. Hinckley’s talk, “Stay on the High Road.”
How many of you still miss Pres. Hinckley? ( I have both of my hand’s raised!)
The quote I used starts with: You are daughters of God and ends with, He will not leave you alone.
A lot of us need to know that “He will not leave you alone” and the comfort that brings to us is such a blessing in our lives.I went with a Halloween theme for this month’s card…because well, it is the month of Halloween!
To print this as a jpeg image, right click over the image, go to save image as.
Then save in a folder.
You can print from there or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.
All of the images are formatted to a 4 x 6 card. Here is the blank one for those of you that would like to translate. Or if you need a fun card, handout or invite!
Along with the message card, I also made a fun “You are Spooktacular” tag that you could tie to a treat.
You could use a bottle of hand soap, some Halloween candy, a caramel apple, or some other trinket! There is a blank one for those of you that would like to translate, or personalize.
As always…my printables are for personal use only. They are not for Resale!
Now, for those that would like the PDF Download, simply click on the link(s) below:

As cute as this may be, you are all missing the point of ministering if you are just dropping off a treat and a hand out. Get to know and help those you are ministering. Follow the example of Christ. Do you think he left a handout on the doorstep? Live, love and teach as Christ did! Be involved in the lives of of those you minister you can learn so much from them. If they are not members do you believe a hand out will bring them unto Christ or having to have someone truly invested in their lives someone who is an example of Jesus willing to listen, learn, help and LOVE them for who they are and where they are in this imperfect life. How can we truly take care of the sheep and bring them unto the fold if we just stop at the door.
T, You are right about just dropping something off at the door. My hope is that these handouts are just a starting point to start a conversation, ask a question, or drop someone a fun little treat. They are by no means the total package. That is why I have said at the end of every visiting teaching/ministering post that I have written, that it is important to remember that it is the visit/contact that is important…not the handout! Make sure the sisters you visit know how much you love and care about them. But thank you for taking the time to write your comment and for the reminder!
I am 72 years old, I’ve been around the block a few times. Sometimes that beautiful hand made or homemade item is what gets us in the door. From there we can sit down to establish sweet friendships or continue to stop back again, and follow up if it was just the first visit. I only wish that I had this talent to share with all of you. Thank YOU for sharing so we can continue to minister with those around us.
Candy, Bless your heart!!! Thank you so much for your kind comment and your sweet support!!! I sincerely appreciate both! I could not have said it better and I appreciate your insight. I hope that you have a wonderful day. Happy Ministering!
