My granddaughter had her 10th birthday and she had an Ooh La La Birthday Party! She has been in love with Paris and all the glamour of that beautiful city, so that is what she wanted for her birthday.
When the recent tragedy happened there, my daughter thought about changing the party, but then decided that Paris needed to be celebrated, I think that is what the people of Paris would want also… to celebrate their beautiful city!
My daughter re-did her daughter’s bedroom for her birthday present and she was absolutely thrilled with it! She kept telling her mother that she could ground her to her room and never let her out! :)I helped my daughter put part of this room together while my granddaughter was away from home for a couple of hours. I love the black and pink…it is quite showy…just like Paris! Ooh La La!Here are some of the details in the room! Not shown is an Eiffel Tower vinyl on one wall and a darling pink clock!
My granddaughter got to see her new room and then it was time for her to get ready for her Ooh La La Birthday Party! They had a photo shoot with all kinds of fun props, boas, hats, glasses, and of course mustaches, then they decorated picture frames…made fun bath salts in the glasses with the bath puff. They played minute to win it games and then they got to put the picture that they had taken into the frame.
They had a “candy” bar… and cupcakes and ice cream. They each took a bag home with lots of goodies and I think that they felt pretty pampered for the day!And what girl does not want to feel a little pampered once in awhile! :)
What a wonderful idea and how Ooh-la-la everything looked. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful ideas and projects. Happy Thanksgiving!
