Here is one of the easiest DIY project that you will find. It is 2 ingredients and takes just minutes to make! It doesn’t get much easier for a relaxing, soothing bath to soak your tired body!
There are only two ingredients – Epsom salts and lavender essential oil!
Relaxing Lavender Bath Salts/Foot Soak
In a zip close bag, mix together 1/2 cup of Epsom salt and 10 drops of lavender essential oil. Stir/mix to combine and store in a sealed glass jar. Add about 1/4 cup to warm running bath water or a spoonful to a deep bowl if you are soaking your feet.
Epsom salts are detoxifying, so drink lots of water before and after a soak!
Put it in a cute jar and tie these tags with a ribbon and you have a great little gift for Mother’s Day, a shower take home gift, a small thank-you gift, a teacher appreciation gift or just a gift for YOURSELF! Print these tags on Kraft colored card stock paper. Cut them out and punch the hole, then ink around the edges with a brown ink pad. Tie a cute ribbon to the top of a mason jar filled with the bath salts and tie both tags to the ribbon. So easy and yet so cute!
These tags are formatted to an 8.5 x 11 page, so you can just print your own. Here is the PDF download for the tags: Lavender Bath Salt Tags
These would be a perfect project for activity days, Young Women’s, or just a fun DIY to do with the kids!
I bought my essential oil in a real lavender field on our trip to the northwest last summer, but you can find essential oil at most health food stores. My kitchen smells so good right now! I made up a big batch of 8 cups and I only used about 1/2 of my bottle of oil!
Do you need a fun, quick, inexpensive gift for anything? Here it is…just make up the bath salts, put in a mason jar, print and cut tags and tie them on! The perfect , easy DIY gift!
I’ve both ingredients on hand, I’ll be making mixing up a batch later today. Enjoy your soak. :0) Thank you for sharing with us.
I was looking on the internet for something to give my wonderful V.Ting ladies, for their birthdays this year. This is the perfect idea to give them. Thanks for all you great ideas and willingness to share.

Rita…so nice to meet another Rita! There are not a whole lot of us! Thank you for taking the time to write, I loved hearing from you. I love that you put some of the lavender plant right into your bath salts! That sounds so pretty! I am going out to buy a lavender plant to put in with my herb garden, I LOVE the smell of lavender and now I can enjoy it all of the time when I get my own plant! Hope you have a great day!
