I went for a mammogram a few weeks ago…which by the way…if you are due for one, or overdue…GO GET IT DONE. Luckily everything was okay for me, but on the way home I decided that I needed to treat myself…to a new quilt kit! I’m spoiled rotten, I know! They had these kits at the Fabric Mill in Orem, Utah and I just could not resist! I am a well known Coke-aholic! My granddaughter reminds me of this often! :)I love the fabrics in this quilt! There is a good mix of the vintage and the new! I also love the colors in this bright, cheery quilt! This is perfect for picnics, ball games and for this grandma just to wrap up in the winter! My two helpers that were holding up this quilt were not the same size…but I think that they did a great job of being my quilt hangers! I love the white border around this quilt. It just sets it off so nicely! I added the top and bottom border to this quilt, because I wanted it to be a little bit longer. It is a perfect size now and I am really loving it!:)Here is a close up of some of the fabrics. It has vintage coke prints, modern coke prints, and modern polka dots, chevron, and waves! I love all the fun fabrics! The pattern for this quilt is a simple 4 patch square and a 9 1/2 inch square. I simply pieced it together, added the borders and corners, then I added the extra borders on the top and the bottom. I used a red fleece on the back of the quilt and quilted it with red thread. I did an all-over pattern for the quilting. This is the first time that I have done this quilting pattern, but I think that it turned out okay for my first attempt! The binding is a black on black fabric which give the edge of the quilt a nice finish!
I have many more quilt kits that I need to get put together and quilted, but I just could not resist this one for some reason! :) I keep telling myself that I cannot buy anymore quilt kits until I get the ones done that I already have…I guess that I really need to get to work!
Do you have projects stashed away somewhere? I bet some of you do! My challenge to you…is to get one of them out and see if you cannot finish it! You might be surprised how much you can get done, especially if you give yourself a deadline! Or perhaps you need to treat yourself to a new project, like I did! :)
Looks great! I am also a Coke-A-Holic…..that is so cute….I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time…..Sister in Cokes!
Roswitha, YEAH…a Sister in Cokes!! I love it!

I love the pattern of the Coca Cola Quilt. Is it possible to get the directions for the pattern which would include the amount needed for each fabric. I am interested in a different fabric collection, but I love the pattern.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Sandra, I bought this as a kit, so it was all cut out for me. The big squares are 9 1/2 inches square and the smaller blocks would be 4 3/4 inches square. When pieced together with 1/4 inch seams they should be the same size. Hope this helps. I can’t tell you how much fabric to buy, but they should be able to help you at the fabric store. You will just need to know how big you want your quilt and how many squares you need. You will need to add fabric for the borders and the binding.

Rita, Thank you so much for the info. I’m going to try it.

Sandra, Good Luck with your quilt. Let me know how it turns out!
