Hocus Pocus Quilt
I hope that none of you faint when you see that I have actually posted something other than my ministering handouts!!!!!!
I have kind of gone into hiding the last few years with some family health issues and I have not done much sewing. This is the first quilt I have made in the last couple of years! This was a fun quilt to put together! The pattern is from The Pattern Basket It is called Hocus Pocus.
I had a kit that I bought several years ago. I don’t remember where I got the kit. But on the pattern, it tells you how much fabric to buy and most of my fabrics were from All Hallows’ Eve by Fig Tree and Co. for Moda.
I was not in a hurry to make this quilt, so it was a very enjoyable project. I simply followed each step in the pattern and tried to do 1-2 steps every day. It took me a couple of weeks to get it completed!I made this design wall several years ago, so it made it easy to keep track of all the different pumpkins sizes and colors.
This picture was taken out at the Jacob Hamblin House.
My husband and I actually took a trip down to St. George last weekend! It is the first time we have been down there in 2 1/2 years. It was so fun to get away for a few days…even if part of the time was spent in cleaning out some of our house! The weather was beautiful and it was just a delightful weekend!
This picture is at the Court House in Santa Clara! As you can see the weather was just beautiful. It was pretty warm, but not HOT!So this is my Hocus Pocus Quilt. I am so excited to put it out with all of the other Halloween decor in my house.
Been going through all of my decorations throughout the year and getting rid of a lot of old decorations…but I kept all the quilts and all the pillows!!! :)
This is absolutely gorgeous!

Roswitha, How fun to hear from you!! I know I have been MIA for quite awhile. I am finally getting to a place where I feel like I can do a little more of the things I love. Hope all is well with you and your family! Have a wonderful day!
Just getting older and slower, but still, very interested in your wonderful talents and ministering messages.
Roswitha, Awww…thank you!
Absolutely beautiful. So grateful you are able to do something you love again. It is nice to be creative…good for the soul. Bless you and your family. One question..do you have instructions for your design wall. I need one…..
Vicki, Thank you so much for taking the time to write your kind comment. It means a lot to me. I don’t really have instructions for my board. All I did was get the foam core boards that you would use for insulation at Home Depot. I used two sheets of it. Cut to fit your wall. I had to duck tape two boards together to get the width I needed. Then all I did was cover it all with a King size flat flannel sheet. I just wrapped the sheet around the board and glued it to the back. Pull it tight. I then added duct tape to make sure to hold the sheet in place, as an added security. I tried to mount it to the wall with command strips, but it just kept falling off, so I gave up and I just let it sit on the floor. I know that is not super detailed information, but that is how I made a simple design wall. Good luck with yours!
Love you back, Rita!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful handiwork and the Ministering ideas. I dearly love them and try to use some during the year. You have a heart of gold and I pray the Lord will bless you and your family with good health and safety. Hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving.
