It’s time once again for the visiting teaching handout for my church.
This month the message is Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Minister.
I really love this message this month, because so many great things happen when we minister to each other! We truly can be the answer to other people’s prayers and what a great feeling that is! I chose to focus on the quote from David L. Beck:
I had a sister from New Zealand request that I make a more generic message because their seasons and holidays are not the same as here, so here is my generic message this month. I will try to incorporate more of this, but I also love the seasonal/holiday themes!
Here is the blank version for those of you that would like to translate. Or if you are in need of a card, invite or poster…this can fit the bill.
I thought this would be fun to pair with a recipe card. I have included one of my family’s favorite slush recipe. But I have also included a blank card, that you could write any recipe that you would like! You could tie this recipe card to the top of a bottle of lemon-lime soda to take to your sisters!
I actually lightened this recipe up a bit, and no one even noticed! I added 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of Stevia for the sugar! You can also use diet lemon lime soda if you want to lighten it even more. With all of this fresh fruit and juice…this is a very refreshing slush!
Here is the blank recipe card, but you could also use this for a lot of other things, like an invite to a shower, a birthday party, or any girl get together! It would also be a fun journaling card for scrap booking, a note card, or a card for all your list making!
So that is my June 2014 handout. We need to think about ministering to those around us and looking for ways that we can help others. May you be the answer to someone else’s prayer!
Thanks again. You are amazing! Appreciate your talent so much.

Rita, I love you RS handouts, I have printed many of them, but cant seem to find the place to print these. Please help!!!!
I forgot to put the PDF link in there. I will go back and do that now, but you can also right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder. Or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image” then open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to “paste”.
Hope this helps!
Rita, thank you so much for sharing these with us each month. I have six less active sisters that I mail messages to. Sometimes the VT message doesn’t really seem appropriate for them and I have to find something else to send them. These handouts make it easier and they are beautiful!
I love your handouts. I, too, have been assigned “do not visit” sisters, and so many times your messages and a small gift have been mailed to them. They do seem to enjoy these. Please keep the “most excellent work”. You are a talented and giving person.
Hi Rita! Thank you for all of your time, effort, and talent in creating the VT handouts every month! The sisters I visit are always delighted and impressed with them. :)
For this month’s addition with the fruit slush recipe, I was wondering where you purchased the mason jars with the special lids that fit the straws. I would love to include those with it. Thanks!!!
Jody, thank you for your sweet comment, I really appreciate your kind words. To find the lids just simply Google “daisy cut mason jar lids” and you will find all kinds of places on Amazon and others that you can order them!
I am so glad and grateful that you are back, I missed you for a while because I love your handouts and had been sharing them to the RS sisters. They are very colorful and and beautiful, you are gifted with talents and you are so blessed for sharing them to us. lots and lots of thanks Rita. We love you and may you continue to inspire me and everyone. God bless you and your family. Thank you so much!
