March 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month the visiting teaching message for my church is about being a light to the world.

I love that every month the messages focus on a character trait of the Savior, and this month the trait is:

The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ:  Light of the World.

Here is the printable card for this month:

I chose to use the quote from Elder Quentin L. Cook. about doing all that we can to preserve light, hope, and morality in our communities.  I love that we can all do our part to better the community and those around us.

Here is the blank one for those of you that would like to translate,

or for those of you that need a fun card, invite, or note to give to someone else!

I thought that it would be fun to just make these little candy trays to give to my sisters this month and I decided that perhaps you might want to do the same!  So here are the  printables for that!  I used  Hershey’s Nuggets, so these are sized for that candy.

To print, right click over image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder.  Or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image”, then open your favorite program like Word or Presentations, right click again and go to paste.  The cards are formatted to 4 x 6″ and the candy wrappers are on an 8.5 x 11 page.  You could also send the cards to your local photo processing center if you wish.

Happy Visiting this month!

Thanks for visiting today!  Love Ya!

  7. Thanks so much for the adorable handouts you do each month. My mother told me about you and I love them. I tried to find the bags at walmart but had to buy bigger ones and fold them over. Were the bags just the size needed and were they called pretzel bags?

    thanks so much

    1. Janet, the bags that I purchased were called “Pretzel bags” and they were just the right size. I don’t know if you could find them at a party store or not. I hope that you can find some, but it sounds like you improvised really well! :)

    1. Jeannie, thank you so much for your kind comment! I love hearing from my readers and where they are from, it just makes me so happy when someone says that they can use one of my ideas, so thanks for making me happy today! :) Please tell Karen, Jeannie, Enid and Audrey hello, and I hope that you all have a great day!

  9. Thank you so much for the wonderful handouts you post. I love to take my ladies something extra special and these do the trick!

  10. Hi Rita I just love your handouts and was so looking forward to doing this particular one but I found that they didn’t measure up. I had to make everything bigger to fit 6 Hershey nuggets, it appears I am the only one who had a problem and I can’t work it out. Beautiful though, I’ll just try again :)

    1. Cloudy, are you making sure that it is the 8.5 x 11 size paper? It should fill up pretty much the whole page. You could try the copy and paste method and paste it on an 8.5 x 11 page, if it is not filling up most of the page, then grab one of the handles on the corner and stretch it to the right size. Hope this helps.

  11. SO CUTE!!! I absolutely LOVE your handouts and ideas. Thanks so much for sharing every month. I really appreciate you :)
