I was contacted by a company called “Lucky Leaf” and asked if I would like a free sample of their products and then in turn would I write a post about it. I was actually quite excited about it when I found out that it involved food! So a few days later I received a fun package in the mail and I was excited to try out some of their great recipes!
The first recipe that I tried out was the frozen pie pops, who would of thought to make a Popsicle with canned pie filling? Not me, but I tried this recipe and they were delicious and so full of flavor. I love the cute pop mold that they sent, the handle on the top looks like a tongue sticking out ready to lick the Popsicle! As you can see a couple of my grand kids did the kid-taste test and it looks like they passed, they loved them and I loved how quick and easy they were to make.
Here is the recipe that they sent to me to make these Frozen Pie Pops:
1/2 21-oz. can LUCKY LEAF Premium Pie Filling (any flavor)
1 cup milk
1/2 lemon, sqeezed
Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth and pour blended mixture into ice pop molds. Freeze. Serve as ice pops. Pour any remaining mixture into a freezable container and serve as frozen pie treat
I doubled this recipe, using the full can of pie filling, but if you only use 1/2 the can you can put the remaining pie filling on pancakes or mixed in yogurt!
I made the rest into this ice cream treat, just by putting it into a container in the freezer. No ice cream maker is required! It reminds me a little bit like a sorbet, so light and refreshing with the strawberry canned pie filling!
The next recipe that I made was this Peach Cinnacake. I served it to my family yesterday for our Sunday dinner dessert. It was definitely a hit. My husband even ate another piece later, so this recipe definitely passed the husband test! Always a plus. I love the layers of cinnamon and sugar in the middle of the cake and also on the top, and it is such a moist cake with the pie filling mixed right in, and big juicy chunks of peaches!
Perfectly Peach Cinnacake
1 18.25 oz. package dry yellow cake mix (I used a white cake mix)
1 21 oz. can LUCKY LEAF Premium Peach Pie Filling
3 eggs
6 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Blend together dry cake mix, 1/2 can of the LUCKY LEAF Premium Peach Pie Filling and eggs in large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining pie filling until well mixed.
In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Spread half the batter in a greased 13″x9″ baking pan; sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon sugar mixture.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until wooden pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool. Delicious topped with whipped cream!
Makes 12 servings

Hi, what I use it for is making oatmeal palatable to me. I don’t care for hot oatmeal so what I do is add about a cup of canned fruit, peach being my favorite, cinnamon and nuts and cook i. It’s so wonderful like cobbler for breakfast! It’s healthy too.
