I have a fun, easy treat for you today. The kids loved these and they are super easy to make…a win, win situation! These are fun for your St. Patrick’s day celebrations, or if you are like me, you can give them out to the kids and they can have their own St. Paddy’s day celebration! :)These are so fun and colorful, just like a rainbow! They are as fun to eat as they are to look at. They are like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, well…almost!
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 package (10 oz.) miniature marshmallows
- 6 cups Trix Cereal
- Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add Trix cereal. Stir until well coated. Pour into a 9 x 13" pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Press mixture into pan with wet fingers. Cut into 2 inch squares when cool.
- You could substitute Lucky Charms cereal for another version for St. Patrick's day!
Another fun variation that you can do, is to use Lucky Charms cereal! Perfect for this fun St. Patrick’s day holiday! These are just so fun and colorful, that I really don’t know any kid, young or old that would not love to eat these. I made a pan of these and gave one in a bag to all the grandkids when I gave them their St. Paddy’s day countdown, but after everyone had left on Sunday night, I discovered that the few that were left in the pan had disappeared too! (Like Magic!)
These would be perfect for a party, a school class party, dance group, activity days, sports team, FHE, or just to brighten your day!
So how many of you want to make the kiddos happy this weekend?? It is so easy to do with these bright, fun crispie treats!
Here is another fun St. Patrick’s day treat that I posted last year. This has a fun printable included with the recipe, which is for Mint Muddy Buddies! These are great for parties or any celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day!
Yum, they look so cute and I bet they taste delicious!
Valerie, thank you for taking the time to comment. These rainbow crispies were gone so fast, that I would have to say that my family must have really liked them! :)
Have a great day,
Rita
