Today I decided that I would show you some of my Christmas sewing projects from this year and from Christmases past. I absolutely love the warmth of these homemade quilts and pillows. They are so inviting on a cold winter’s night. This collection is from things that I have made and some that are gifts that were made by wonderful friends! It is good to have crafty friends!
The quilt on the left is one of the first quilts that I ever made! It is a star quilt and I took a class up at Nuttall’s many years ago, but I learned how to match corners and the importance of pressing as you go in piecing a quilt! The quilt on the right is just called a Big Daddy quilt. It is just large squares, but they usually have minky in some of the squares and I added a minky back to that one, so the grandkids love to cuddle in that one! The pillows are some that I have made in years past. I love to stitch the pillows because I can do it while I am watching TV or just relaxing at night. The directions for the ruffle pillow are found here.
The quilt on the right is my chevron quilt that I just got back from the quilters. (You can go to that post for a link to the pattern.) I love how it turned out and how she quilted all the chevron stripes! I have my new Christmas pillow wrap, (in the back) the directions are here.
The other three pillows shown are all gifts from wonderful talented friends!
I love to wrap up in a warm handmade quilt, it just makes me happy! :)
Here is a quick look at my Christmas Bedspread that I made a couple of years ago. If you would like to see more you can see it here.
Sew…as I said Christmas is sew fun!

Thanks for your kind comment! You just have to do one pillow at a time. Those were done over a few years, not all at once!

The name of the company is huckleberry cottage. Here is a link to their website, http://huckleberrycottage-wilkydesigns.blogspot.com/ however I do not see that pattern.
