Thursday’s Thought-Spring has Sprung!

I was over at one of my best friends’ house the other day and she had these flowers that were in full bloom!  They looked so gorgeous out in her yard… this one plant in full color out in her yard.  So I went back a couple of days later and took this picture.

Doesn’t this just make you happy?!

I loved these flowers so much that I went and bought one for my yard.  The color that I got, the flowers start out more of a greenish color then the blossoms turn to white.  I am going to get a couple of more and I am hoping to find this beautiful yellow and pink one!

They are called Hellabores and they are a perennial, they bloom in the spring and they like the shade.

It snowed here a couple of days ago and I was out planting my plant the next day in the nice warm sunshine!

So I guess that Spring really has Sprung!

Thanks for Visiting!  Love Ya!

Sweet Succulents!

I am getting anxious to start working in my garden but it is still too early to plant most things.

I  planted some some butter crunch lettuce which is one of my favorite things, but that is about it for now,  so I decided that I would plant some beautiful succulents!  These are great to plant, because they do not take very much maintenance!  You only have to water them every once in awhile when the soil dries out!  I don’t have very many houseplants, because I don’t  take good enough care of them!   But these are easy and they are so beautiful!  These plants make great gifts, because the person receiving the gift does not have very much maintenance to keep them looking beautiful!

Tulip Time

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of iBulb for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love this time of year because the tulips are just starting to peek above the ground.

I have a very special place in my heart for these beautiful flowers because I have a son that lived in the Netherlands for two years and he talked of the magnificent tulip fields!  My husband and I also visited The Netherlands and one of the things that we remembered the most was the seemingly endless fields of multicolored tulips with the picturesque windmills in the background.  It was so gorgeous and such a breathtaking view!

Because of that experience, I have several bunches of tulips planted in my yard and I love when they start peeking through the snow, because I know that spring is on the way!

I  love cut tulips and I bought this great little bunch at a local store to brighten up my kitchen.  Aren’t they beautiful with the white tips!  It just really brightens my day and makes me happy to see these when I work in my kitchen!
