My husband and I took a quick trip to Las Vegas last week and of course I had to go to one of my favorite quilt shops…The Christmas Goose. I found a fun pattern book with this darling little Star Crossed Mini Quilt. Continue reading
Happy Monday Everyone! I hope that you are having a great day on this Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I am just recuperating from a fun, whirlwind weekend with 5 of my darling grandkids! I know why you raise your own children while you are young! :) We had a great time together and hopefully they had a fun time!
Today I have a fun Valentine Table Quilt that I want to show you!
Right before Christmas I got a quilt kit to make a “Snowman Quilt”, at one of my local quilt shops. It was on sale and I decided that it would be a fun one to put together for the winter months. It was really easy to put together and I brought my portable machine down to the family room and I sewed in the afternoon and evenings while we watched Christmas movies!
I have a snowman collection that I put out as soon as Christmas comes down, so this snowman quilt is perfect to go with this collection! Continue reading
We had another baptism in our family this last weekend! It was number five out of ten grandchildren…so far…hopefully we have a few more babies still to come!

I hope that you are looking forward to the weekend as much I am! I have a lot going on this weekend…and I will share it with you next week!
Caution! Skeleton Crossing
Here is a fun quilt that is simply a printed panel with a border sewn around the edge! I love the skeleton, it is perfect for this Halloween season.
A little bit spooky and a little bit cute!
I am so happy to announce that it is Christmas in May!?
I decided right after Christmas last year that I was going to make these two quilts for gifts for this year. I went out and got the fabric last January and I have slowly been working on them during some of our weekend trips up to our cabin, and they are now finished and I can put them away until Christmas! One of our granddaughter’s was baptized this last weekend. This was a special day for her. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the children are baptized when they are 8 years old.
I have made it a tradition to make a quilt for each of the grandkids for their baptism. It has always been a minky quilt with minky fabric on the front and the back! They are so warm and cuddly! I also have their name and the year and “choose the right” embroidered in one of the corners.
I got one more quilt done for our new littlest granddaughter! She was a month early, so I told her mom that I still had a month to get this done!
This was a fun quilt to make. I made one of these quilts a few years ago, but added extra borders to make it a lap quilt. I had so much fun making it that I decided to make another one.
I got this fabric on my own personal quilt shop hop during our trip in Arizona last March!
I do not have a Thursday’s Thought this week. Instead, I have this really cute picture!
This is our newest little granddaughter! We are so excited to have her here and to know that she and her mom are both doing good! We were worried because there were some complications, so we are so thankful that everything turned out so well! Continue reading
