The message this month is “Taking Action in Time of Need”  It tells us that as visiting teachers, one of our purposes is to help strengthen families and homes.  The sisters we visit should be able to say, “If I have problems, I know my visiting teachers will help without waiting to be asked.”

So I decided that “Visiting Teachers Can be the Cherry on Top”  would be the perfect thing to go along with this message, because we want our sisters to be able to say this about each of us! Continue reading →

July 4th Bingo Game

Last weekend on the way to our cabin, my husband stopped at World Market to let me look around for awhile.  I love that store!  I saw a really cool Bingo Game and it was a vintage one with a cage wheel and everything.  I debated about getting it for our 4th of July party, but in the end I decided just to make a game instead and use the money to buy prizes for the winners!  I’m crazy I know.  I really don’t know what got into me… but lucky for you, because now you can play bingo on the 4th of July  with your family and friends too!

Friendship Quote

I went to the BYU  Women’s conference yesterday and went to a couple of great classes, went shopping at the bookstore and found some great finds (as in chocolate covered cinnamon bears!)   and then the night of service which was amazing!  Pics will come later.

I just want to share a great quote about friendship that I got from one of the classes:I absolutely l love this!

The last two weeks have been very busy, but rewarding!  I feel like I have been thrown into a whirlwind and now I have been spit out!  So I hope to get some good R &R this weekend and I hope that you can do the same!

Keep Calm

I saw this saying the other day at a store and it made me smile.  So I decided that I would like to make you smile too!

I made this printable in an 8 x 10 format but you can size it to any size that fits your needs.  It would be fun to frame, Mod Podge on a wood board, use for a card or tag, make a fridge magnet or anything else that you little heart desires.

To print, right click on image and go to copy.  Open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to paste.  Size it to the size that will fit your needs and print.

Don’t Eat Lucky!

This is a fun game that my grand kids love to play, this is a St. Patrick’s Day version of “Don’t Eat Pete!”  It is called  Don’t Eat Lucky!  This is a fun game for FHE or for a school class party, even adults can get in on the fun with this game!

I love this saying, so I decided to make it into a subway art and frame it!  

If you would like to print one, just right click and go to copy, then open your favorite program like word, right click again and go to paste.  The original size is 5 x 7, but you can size it however you would like.  (I ended up printing mine 8 x 10)

Last Minute Neighbor Gift

If you are looking for a quick, cute, easy, inexpensive neighbor gift…I have one for you.  My daughter and I found this print on pinterest  and had them printed at Alphagraphics on glossy cardstock.  Then found frames at the dollar store and spray painted them red, and glittered some of them.  And look how cute they turned out.  Quick, easy, and a great message all in one.  Tie it up with a big bow and you are done!

You can print the picture from here.  We did 8 x 10, but you could also do 5 x 7 frames.  I paired my up with a cute little angel and it makes a darling setting.

I hope that you will all have a great week this week and that the true meaning of Christmas will be with you and your family!

We celebrated our Christmas, last night with all of our families, because this is our off year with the married kids and it was great fun.  The kids did the nativity story, a post that I will have for you tomorrow.  We exchanged gifts, which the kids loved because now they all have something to play with all week while they are out of school! And it is kind of nice to be done with the bulk of my Christmas shopping, the wrapping, the food and candy making etc etc etc.  So now this week I can relax a little bit and just enjoy the season!

I love the message this month on how important EVERY sister is and how we influence so many around us!  I think that sometimes we forget how wonderful we are!

This month’s handout is a card to print, you can use it as a refrigerator magnet, a tag to tie on some goodies, (like my fudge) or make it into a card etc.

To print, just right click and go to copy.  Then open your favorite program like Word and right click again and go to paste.  This is a 4 x 6 card.  This has also been formatted to send to your favorite photo processing center and they can print it as a picture. (I send mine to Costco and they are only 16 cents each!)
