Thursday’s Thought

I love you…

Love you more…

Have you ever said this with someone?  I know that you have,

I have sometimes carried it even one step farther and said

 I love you the mostest!

I always do like to have the last word! :)

This is a fun word game that we play with those that we love and I thought that it might be fun for our thought this week.  I have formatted this to be  8 x 10, so if you want to frame it, you could make a fun little gift for someone!

Here is a fun red version just in time for the holidays.

(This would also be perfect for Valentines day, if you want to think that far ahead!)

To print this right click over image and go to “save image as”  then save in one of your pictures file.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Hope You Have a Great Day!  Love Ya!

Fun Thanksgiving Printables and Games

Today I have a round-up of a few FUN Thanksgiving printables.

This first printable is for Thanksgiving Place cards and you can print them here.

There are 4 different ones to choose from or you can do a variety of all of them!  These are just a fold-over, so you just need to print, cut, fold in half and write names, or you could have everyone write one blessing, and have everyone guess who wrote what blessing!   So easy! Continue reading

Nov. 2012 Visiting Teaching Handout

Just a reminder to watch the KUTV Morning Show tomorrow

I am scheduled to be on between 7:30 and 8:00 am!

I will be showing several different ways that you can use up all of that Halloween Candy

and I would love to have you join me!

Now on to our Visiting Teaching Post:

This month your message will come from one of the conference talks.  There are so many good ones, but I tend to gravitate to the ones on service.  (Maybe that means that I need to serve more?!)

So I chose the talk from Sister Burton on “First Observe, Then Serve”

Sept. 2012 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month’s lesson is titled “Special Needs and Service Rendered”  I love the message to all of us about how we need to serve others!  President Monson is such a great example of this and we probably could all do a little better in this area…I know that at least I could do better!  For this month’s handout I decided to use a fall theme with owls.  I bought these owls at the Wood Connection and painted and decorated them, and they were my inspiration for this handout.

Thursday’s Thoughts

I have decided that perhaps I will start doing a fun thought every Thursday! (Hence the name Thursday’s Thoughts)  I love to collect thoughts and quotes and I want to be able to share them with you.  Just something that I am going to try for awhile.  Let me know what you think!

So here is my first edition of Thursday’s Thoughts:

This quote is from J. Golden Kimball who is actually related to me in a sort of round about way… Heber C. Kimball is my great, great, great grandfather and J. Golden is his brother! So how is that for a long and lengthy genealogy lesson?  Anyway, a lot of you have heard what a character J. Golden was and so I am proud to say that I am doing my best to carry on his legacy! :)

Christmas Gift Tags

I needed some gift tags and could not see any that I liked anywhere, so I decided to make some up… and  I  would love to share them with you!

To print:  just right click and go to copy.  Then open your favorite program, like Word etc. and right click again and paste.   They are both 8 1/2 x 11 size.

These are a larger tag, for those who would like to write a little note on it!

How are all of your holiday preparations and shopping coming along?  I am in full speed right now, because we are basically celebrating this weekend, because it is our off year with all of the married kids!  So wish me luck, OK?

Thanksgiving Placecards

Today I have some cute little name cards for you to print out for Thanksgiving.  All you have to do is print them, cut them out, fold in half, and write names on them.  What could be easier?  It is amazing how such a little thing like this can dress up your Thanksgiving table and make people think that you really went to a lot of work! (No one has to know!)

There are two sheets, 4 on each page, (8 total).  If you need more than that, just print duplicate pages.  To print, just right click on the image, then go to copy. Open your favorite program like word, and right click again and go to paste.  They are in 81/2 x 11 format so you can just print them from your printer!

They would be fun to pair up with a treat or some nuts.  There are all kinds of fun ideas on pinterest, follow my Fall/Autumn link if you need some other ideas!

A couple more  ideas that you could do with these printables: is to use them for a napkin ring. just cut off at the fold and wrap them around your napkins, or just use the top part for a tag to tie on a treat bag, or the top of a jar with goodies in it!  You could also use this just the way it is as a fold-over topper and staple it to the top of a small clear bag.

Oh the possibilities!

Give Thanks Banner

Here is the  cute “Give Thanks” banner that I did as the guest post last week.  It is a free printable, that you just print out, laminate if you wish and tie together with cute ribbon.  This would be cute hanging above your Thanksgiving table, a doorway, or on your fireplace.  (Look how cute it is with my Thanksgiving subway art board, that I made at Landee’s craft night!)

Here are the printables.

To print, just right click and go to copy.  Then open your favorite program, like Word,  right click again and go to paste.  They are in an 81/2 x 11 format, so you can just print them.  You can also email them to your favorite printer.  In my area (Utah) you can send them to Alphagraphics and they will print them for about 55 cents each and that is on card stock.  So that is pretty inexpensive!

I used an oval paper punch to punch out the holes, but you could just use a regular punch, or cut them out with your scissors.  The ribbons cover up the holes, so you do not see them anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving!
