I was lucky enough to find an old window frame at an antique place a couple of weeks ago and I already had an idea in mind of what I wanted to do with it!  Since Monograms are such the rage right now, I decided that was what I would put on my window frame!  I am pretty excited about how it turned out…what do you think? Ikea- Ruffled Scarf!

I was invited to a Blogger Mixer & Networking Event at Ikea.  It was so much fun to make some new blogging friends and to be able preview some of the new displays at Ikea and get a sneak peek at their new catalog! They fed us breakfast and then they sent on on a shopping spree!  It doesn’t get any better than that!  Thank you Celeste and Ikea and Tauni at SNAP for putting this great event together!

Hydrangea Wreath

I planted a hydrangea bush last spring because I love the big balls of blossoms that they produce.  I found a beautiful pink one and I have loved it all summer long.  But little did I know that when the blossoms die they fade into a beautiful green and yellow color!  I saw a hydrangea wreath somewhere out there in blogland and decided that I would try my hand at making one and I have to say that I am so excited about the results! Easy Crunchy Granola

My raspberries are just starting to come on and I love being able to just walk outside and pick a handful and eat them right there in the garden.  They are so sweet and yummy that I usually just have to stop and savor them a bit!  So today, I have a recipe that goes perfect with any berries…a yogurt parfait!   Continue reading

15 min Pillow Slipcovers

I have some old pillows that I use outside on my patio and they were getting pretty hammered, so I decided that I would just make some new slipcovers to put over them.  They were sooo easy to make and yet made such a difference that I wondered why I had waited so long to do them. Continue reading

July 4th “Lollie” Garland

Have any of you made these fun “Lollies”?  I saw them over at Heartland Paper and decided I wanted to try them out. I think that they are called “lollies”, because you can also put them on a stick and then they  look like a lollipop!

So I went to the Heartland Paper Store in Woods Cross, UT a couple of weekends ago and got some wonderful double-sided card stock paper and look at how festive they turned out!

Ribbon Topiary

I am so excited about this project because the main material used is RIBBON, and you all know how I feel about ribbon!  :)

I am using this as part of my decor for outside on my front porch but you could use it in so many  other ways.  They would be great as decorations for a party or shower,  you could do it in a color theme for all the different holidays.  Red, white and blue for the summer, maroon and green for Christmas, pink or blue for baby showers, or just use the colors in your home for a fun home decor accent! I saw this idea on how to dye canvas tennies here and decided I wanted to give it a try, but I was worried that if I dyed the shoes that it would be difficult to match it with anything else, so I decided that I would dye an old t-shirt too!!  Now I have a new outfit with shoes to match!

So does anyone else want to make a new outfit? Continue reading
