My sister brought this over to me a few days ago and I thought that it was so cute that I wanted to pass it on to you! Many of us are always looking for a little gift to say thank you or “I am thinking about you” and this gift is just perfect! This would also work for a teacher appreciation gift for any teacher!
To make this, you will need some scrapbook paper and a card stock paper for the “tray” to put the chocolates on. My sister used the little “Nuggets” candy, but I used the “Hershey Miniatures”, they both work, but are different sizes. So if you use the “Nuggets” you will need to cut your scrapbook paper into 3″ x 1 3/8″ strips. Cut 6 strips. Wrap the paper around the candy and secure with tape or glue.
If you use the “Minatures” you will need to cut your scrapbook paper into 3″ x 1 1/2 ” strips. Cut 6 strips. Wrap the paper around the candy and secure with tape or glue. To make the little paper tray for the “Nuggets”, cut a piece of card stock 6″ x 2 1/2″ and score and fold it 1/2″ along each of the long sides.
For the “Miniatures” cut the tray 6″ x 2 3/4″ and score and fold it 1/2″ along each of the long sides.
Put the whole tray into a pretzel bag and tie with a cute ribbon! You can find the pretzel bags at Gygi’s or at most big craft stores if they carry cellophane bags!
Stay tuned for another way to use these cute little chocolate morsels! In the meantime get your chocolate on and start wrapping these little babies.
This is a really cute idea! I’m pinning it under gift ideas. I found you at the DIY Dreamer.
Have a great week!
