On the 4th of July I made this tart cherry limeade. It was so refreshing on a hot summer night. I just kept drinking it and could not get enough! I asked my husband on a scale of 1-10 what he would rate it and he gave it about an 8. I, on the other hand had to give it a 10! So either way, I guess you would have to say that it will be one of our new favorites in summer drinks! Continue reading

Our 4th of July Party!
Here are some pictures of our 4th of July party. I know there are a lot of pictures so please forgive me. We were few in numbers with our family members, but the kids still had a ball! It meant more of everything for them… more time on the water slide, more prizes & more goodies!
We started off with the water slide while is was still HOT!Then we moved into sponge ball dodge ball, only this little one was just fascinated with the feel of the sponge ball! The boys thought that this was great fun, including the big boys!Next we did a target throw. This is a new game at our house this year and they got a little competitive in this game because they are earning points to win prizes! If you would like to make your own target throw the directions are found here at Family Fun.

July 4th “Lollie” Garland
Have any of you made these fun “Lollies”? I saw them over at Heartland Paper and decided I wanted to try them out. I think that they are called “lollies”, because you can also put them on a stick and then they look like a lollipop!
So I went to the Heartland Paper Store in Woods Cross, UT a couple of weekends ago and got some wonderful double-sided card stock paper and look at how festive they turned out!
Americana Porch
I gave in and decorated my front porch for the 4th of July. I had my flip flop wreath and ribbon topiary, but just had to change it all out for the 4th. It was my patriotic duty! :)This bench is just off to the left side in the courtyard. Continue reading
July 4th Bingo Game
Last weekend on the way to our cabin, my husband stopped at World Market to let me look around for awhile. I love that store! I saw a really cool Bingo Game and it was a vintage one with a cage wheel and everything. I debated about getting it for our 4th of July party, but in the end I decided just to make a game instead and use the money to buy prizes for the winners! I’m crazy I know. I really don’t know what got into me… but lucky for you, because now you can play bingo on the 4th of July with your family and friends too!
Let Freedom Ring
Here is a printable just in time for your patriotic decorating. This would be great for your mantle, kitchen, a table or shelf. I paired mine up with these stars that I made from the Wood Connection and a jar of bubble gum! So simple yet looks cute. I made my print into a canvas photo block, but it would look darling in an 8 x 10 frame. It would also be fun to spray paint the frame or glitter it up a bit, etc. Continue reading
It’s All About the Hunt!
This weekend we went up to our cabin and on the way up my husband asked if I wanted to stop at a couple of my favorite shops in Midway. Of course I said yes! Continue reading

I hope that you will all remember your loved ones that have passed on and that we can honor their legacies.I am grateful to all those veterans that have given their lives for our freedom and hope that their families can find peace in the service that they have given. These flowers are some that I picked up at our cabin! They are so beautiful and I love all the colors that we have! I just had to share them with you.
Happy Memorial Day!
Shamrock Cupcakes!
I made these cupcakes for Sunday dinner and they are one of the kids favorite flavors! I think that they all like mint, so these were a big hit. I made a shamrock shake to go with these but I did not get any pictures of the shakes. You will just have to use your imagination for them. I just made a vanilla shake and put in mint extract and green food coloring. Then we put whipped cream on the top and green sprinkles. So fun!
To make the cupcakes I put 3 different recipes together! So now I have one new recipe.
So let’s make some shamrock cupcakes! Continue reading
