When we were planning my dad’s 90th birthday party, he said that his favorite color was blue, so we used blue and yellow to decorate with. I decided at the last minute to make a Blue Turning Twenty Quilt for him! I did this quilt with blue and cream and I was able to find all of the fabric at a local quilt shop called “Broadbents”. I have been busy doing my spring cleaning all last week and the first part of this week…I only have one more closet to go and I am finished!!!! Hurray!

I feel like a new woman.

The one closet that I have left is a BIG MESS! It is my craft closet in my office and my granddaughter got in that closet the other day and she informed me that it was a mess and needed to be cleaned. I thanked her for that information and told her that I would need her help to clean it out! :) She is such a sweetheart and agreed that she would!

Right before Christmas I got a quilt kit to make a “Snowman Quilt”, at one of my local quilt shops. It was on sale and I decided that it would be a fun one to put together for the winter months. It was really easy to put together and I brought my portable machine down to the family room and I sewed in the afternoon and evenings while we watched Christmas movies!
