Yesterday I told you about a Baking party that I am going to be doing with my granddaughters. I thought that it would be fun to make an apron for them to have at the party. Shh…they don’t know about these yet…it is our little secret! I really did not have time to make the aprons, so I decided to see what I could come up with. Luckily for me I found these pre-made aprons at Hobby Lobby!
I love that they have a ruffle on them. They are pretty cute just as they are…but I can never leave well enough alone! :)I knew that I want to put “sugar and spice” on them. I was ready to design something but then I decided to look in the Silhouette store to see if they happened to have anything…and they had this darling image! For .99 for the download, I was not about to spend a lot of time designing one! So all I had to do was size it to the size I needed, flip the image because there is writing on it, pick the iron-on vinyl and iron it on! They were so easy. I love the glitter iron-on vinyl because it just adds that little bit of bling! Here is a detailed tutorial on how to apply iron-on vinyl.
So now the aprons are done. I just have to get started on making cookie dough, cupcakes, frosting and getting all kinds of candies and sprinkles ready for these little angels! Although, I do have to say that they might be a little more spice than sugar at times!!!! Just kidding, they are great little girls!
Rita these are so adorable I envy you that you can have a special day with your granddaughters. Someday when I have grandchildren baking days are going to be way up on my granny to do lists.Susie
You just made my day! I’ve been invited to an adoption shower. The little girl is 7 and her mom says she loves to cook. This will be perfect!
What a fun idea…she will love that! Thanks for sharing.
