It seems that I am on a bit of a pillow kick! But I love pillows all around my house and when I found these chevron pillow covers I just could not resist them! These pillows are so easy to make, I simply bought the pillow covers from Hobby Lobby! They are a “Decorative Pillow Cover” and they come in all colors, designs and sizes! So all you have to do is embellish them, if you want, and add a pillow form! It really does not get much easier than that! These pillows are 18 x 18″ so they are a nice size.I did a simple iron-on bird design that I found in the Silhouette store. I altered this one a bit by changing out the birds.I think that the only thing I did to this design was to flip it so that the stems on both pillows meet in the middle and the leaves are on the outsides.I love how easy these pillows were to make. The covers only cost $7.99-plus you can use a coupon. You cannot even sew these for that price! They have a nice zipper in the bottom, so you just have to add a pillow form, or you can make your own like I did here, (only make them 18 x 18″) If you make your own forms, these pillows are very inexpensive!
These are going out on a bench in my front courtyard. I am so ready for spring/summer to come that I can hardly wait to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. (Remind me of this when it is the dead heat of the summer!)
I have a couple of other pillows that I have been working on, so you will have to forgive my pillow craze…I just can’t seem to get enough! :)
