A few years ago I did a patio furniture makeover. I made new chair pads and painted all of the chairs and the table. It looked great when I did it…but with time it had faded and did not look all that good anymore! So I decided that it was time for a Re-makeover! Is there such a thing???I spray painted the chairs with a satin Fire Orange color and the table I did with a satin Granite color! I am loving the new updated colors. I found the gray striped chair pads at Target and they were on sale for $10 each and the floral pillows were from Target also, so for less than $100 dollars I was able to get a brand new patio set!!! :)This is what my patio set looked like before I painted them again. They don’t really look as faded in this picture as they were in real life! It is amazing what a few cans of spray paint can do to update your outdoor furniture! This is my before and after pictures from the first time I did a makeover. You can see from these pictures how faded the paint had become. I have had this patio set for many, many years and it still keeps giving me more use! Here is a close-up of a chair with the striped pad and the floral pillow. I love it when you find a good bargain! You could not even sew these chair pads for $10.This is my orange crate that I got last year at an antique sale. I am not loving the lantern on the middle shelf…I need to find something that is more bright orange. Any suggestions? You may recognize my succulent planter that I have had in my kitchen. I was finally able to bring it outdoors! The can on the top of this crate is another antique find that I found with my friend, Kathy, a few weeks ago. It actually has a hole in the back of it that you could hang it, but I loved it right here on my crate! So this is my little corner haven. I have not written on my chalkboard door yet, because it keeps raining everyday. But when it clears up I will put a fun chalkboard art on there. The jar on the table is a solar light and it looks so pretty at night when it is all lit up!
So now I am done with this little project…I am working on getting all of my pots planted. I have planted 22 different pots and containers so far. I only have a few more to go! I have also added several new perennials to my yard and flowers in the ground around my little pond. I have my garden all planted which only consists of tomatoes, onions, herbs, two pumpkins and a couple of rows of zinnias. But I have raspberries, and I am getting blackberries. I also have a peach tree and an apple tree. So that is all the gardening that I am going to do.
Have you got your flowers planted yet? I hope that I am not too early…but they say Mother’s Day is usually the time to be planting…so I hope we are good.
Beautiful job, what time do you wake up to get all the crafty things that you do? :0) Happy Mother’s Day.
I am not a super early riser, but I just never sit still…it drives my husband nuts! :)
those are so fun and colorful! enjoy.
