Today I want to show you my Bloom Quilt-Row 2.
I have been busy doing my spring cleaning all last week and the first part of this week…I only have one more closet to go and I am finished!!!! Hurray!
I feel like a new woman.
The one closet that I have left is a BIG MESS! It is my craft closet in my office and my granddaughter got in that closet the other day and she informed me that it was a mess and needed to be cleaned. I thanked her for that information and told her that I would need her help to clean it out! :) She is such a sweetheart and agreed that she would!
But I did get row 2 of my Bloom quilt done and put together:I am thoroughly enjoying these appliqued blocks! They are fun to put together and it is relaxing to applique them on by hand! This pattern is a fun sew-along with Lori Holt.Every block is different and I think that I love each one as I am doing them! They are so vintagey and I love all the colors and fabrics!I takes me about 2 hours to do each of the blocks, so they are not extremely time consuming, because I can get each block ready for applique and then I can do the applique in front of the TV or while I am waiting in the car etc.So now I have my Bloom quilt-row 1 & 2 completed! I am loving this! I need to do blocks 9 and 10 this week and then we will be half way through with the quilt blocks. I already have all the pieces cut out for the border, so it will be easy to put together when all the blocks are done!
I am still working on my wool block of the month quilt. I have 3-4 months left to go on that quilt, and then I will have to put it all together. I love the wool applique and I am going to make this quilt into a bedspread for my bed. I am excited for that, because I hope to do a bit of a make-over in that room when I get to that point!
I have been doing a lot of sewing lately, but it is just good for the soul, if you know what I mean. It is a great way to express myself and be productive. Do you have a hobby that you like to lose yourself in? I hope you do!
How is everyone doing on the 40-day conference reading challenge? I have absolutely loved it this time and there have been several of the talks that just speak to me. We are so lucky to have this inspiration and guidance!
The flower blanket is just beautiful, I wish I was a better sewer and crafty. But I do enjoy seeing all the things you make. You are so inspiring!
Bonnie, Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. I enjoy doing my “crafty” things because it is my outlet. I can totally relax and enjoy myself when I am up in my sewing room, so it is kind of a selfish hobby that I enjoy! :)
