This has been a busy week here at the ranch. Even though we are empty nesters it does not mean that we slow down very much!
My husband and I took a quick little trip to St. George, (Southern Utah) the first few days of the week. We went to two of the Tuacahn Theater Shows, “Aladdin” and “Hairspray”. They were both so good and the weather was pretty good although the first night we were there the wind came up and it got downright cold! We figured if we were going to see these shows that we had better go now, because they are going to end this week! We really enjoy going to the different shows every year! Thriller starts next week and I would love to see that one too, but I doubt that we will make it back down there to see that one! Maybe next year!
I had to be home by noon the day that we came home, so that I could work a shift at the church cannery. They were doing canned chicken and I love having that in my food storage so I went to work a shift so that I can purchase a few cases to put away. I have several recipes that use canned chicken and so I love to have this on hand.
We were home for a day, long enough to do laundry and get groceries and tend one of my grandson’s. Then my husband and I headed up to our cabin for a quick little trip. We love going up there because it is just so relaxing and we can sit in the family room and watch deer come in on the lawn looking for a treat! They love apples! We absolutely love being up in the mountains!
We came home today and I decided that I needed to get my caramel apples made. This is a tradition that I have done for several years now.Now I can go do my visiting teaching! :)These apple pie caramel apples are my family’s favorite! If you would like to make some go to my post here. These are easy to make and they make great gifts for teachers, friends, VT sisters, and yourself!
And now I have some exciting news to share with you, I was contacted by KUTV morning news and they want me to do a couple of segments on the show on Fri. November 2! EEK! I am very excited to do this and even though I get so nervous, I am thankful for the opportunity! So if you are up early that morning, turn on KUTV, I would love to have you join me!
Like I said this was quite a week, but it was so much fun to spend time with the one I love! Have a great weekend everyone! Love ya!
