I mentioned when I did the Visiting Teaching handout that I had lemons on the brain, so today I thought I would share this fun dessert that I made last week…Sugar Cookie Lemon Tarts! It doesn’t get a whole lot better than sugar cookie tarts filled with a lemon filling and topped with whipped cream! I have a couple of other recipes that I want to try out this next week…there is just something about lemons that are so refreshing in the hot summer months! Blackberry Peach Cobbler
My dad gave me a bowlful of blackberries before we went on our trip and I put them in the freezer because I did not have time to do anything with them before we left. But in Washington and Oregon blackberries just grow wild everywhere and I kept seeing restaurants that had blackberry cobbler on their dessert menu. So I have had blackberry cobbler on the mind and have been craving this dessert ever since we got home.. I finally got the blackberries out and I had a couple of peaches that I needed to use up, and these two fruits together make the perfect combination for a cobbler!
No Churn Ice Cream
Have you seen these recipes all over blog land lately? They all look so delicious that I decided that I would like to try one of them and see what all of the fuss is about. I like ice cream, but I usually only need a taste or two to be satisfied. This recipe is so rich and decadent, that it kept me going back for more!
