This last weekend I went to the Cowboy Vintage and Flea in Pleasant Grove, Utah. It was a beautiful fall day and perfect for wandering around a vintage market! I found a couple of fun things and just enjoyed myself in the fun atmosphere of the market. My vintage flea Market bench was my favorite find, but let me show you some of the beautiful sights first: Continue reading

Happy Labor Day!
I had a great weekend. My husband and I went up to our cabin, the leaves along the way were breathtaking as we drove up the canyon!I could not believe all the beautiful colors…everywhere we looked!
I went to Swiss Days in MidwayIt was a crazy mad house like always, but my daughter joined me and we did a little shopping! I was able to meet the cute lady behind the Mormon Mom Planner! I did not get my planner yet because she told me they are coming out with a new one that is perfect for empty nesters…like me! :) I can’t wait to see it! If you love a good planner like I do, check out the Mormon Mom Planner. She also has one that is a general planner for those that do not want the “Mormon” part! :) They are very reasonably priced, they have lots of room to write and organize your day and they are darling! Check them out!
After I got back home, I did some laundry and cleaned things up a bit then I went to the Dixie Chicks Concert with my daughter and granddaughter that night! We went to dinner first and then to a fun concert! It was outdoors and the weather was beautiful!
So that is what I did last weekend…I hope that you were able to do something fun with the ones that you love too!
Happy Labor Day!
A Beautiful Autumn Day!
Okay, last week was one of those weeks! It was very busy…not necessarily stressful…just busy. I know that all of you have those weeks sometimes and by the end of the week you are just exausted, right?
My week started out on Monday by bottling and freezing peaches and tending kids. It was so good to get my canning done. We picked the peaches the Sat. before and I got 5 boxes of peaches off my little tree this year! Then on Tuesday, I cleaned out all of my pantry…so that I could put my new bottled fruit on one of the shelves. Wed. I went with my dad for his cataract surgery and Wed night I had to give a short talk at a Relief Society activity for my church. I thought that I was going to bottle my dad’s peaches for him on Thursday…but my dear sweet sister sent me a text and told me that she and dad had gotten them all done on Wed. night! I am so lucky to have such a great sister! :) So on Thursday I went to see how my dad was doing and we took a little trip down to the food bank (after cleaning out my pantry on Tues!) On Friday my husband and I usually like to go to our property in the mountains and then to our cabin, but my husband was inducted into the Lehi High School Hall of Fame, during the halftime of the homecoming football game that night! He was given this award for all of his service and time he has spent with the sports programs in Lehi throughout a great many years. It was quite an honor and we are proud of him!
Thursday’s Thought
As I was coming home the other day, I turned onto our street and this was the view that I saw!
It was so beautiful that I ran in and grabbed my camera and started snapping away.
I love that I have this kind of beauty right in my front yard!
So it is with a grateful heart, that I decided on this thought for the week!
Happy Thursday everyone! Love Ya!

All Good Things Must Come To An End
As everyone is enjoying pumpkin and cinnamon this fall:
(isn’t my maple tree gorgeous this year?)
I am still enjoying fresh strawberries!
My fall berries have been unbelievable this year! They are quite large and very, very sweet! I have been getting a bowlful like this every 4-5 days! I have shared with neighbors and friends, but mostly I just eat them myself, right out of the bowl! That is… if I can beat my grandson to them, he is a little strawberry monster!
But I am afraid that all good things must come to an end. We are expecting our first hard frost of the season. But luckily I have frozen quite a few bags of strawberries so we can enjoy them all winter!
