I get all the kids Christmas pajamas for our Sinterklaas party every year, that way they can wear them all month long! Sometimes I buy them, but this year I decided to make them. When we had our Girl’s weekend this fall and we were making all of our iron-on shirts, one of my friends gave me the idea to make these for Christmas! And I think that they turned out darling! The kids all loved them too, although they questioned some of the “nice” ones…like our littlest baby girl…her brothers all said that she was “naughty”, but how can a darling baby girl be naughty???I had these two kids come up and model the pj’s before the party, because I knew that it would be too crazy to take pictures that night! I told them they had to swear not to tell the others kids what their pj’s said and they were really good at keeping our little secret! :) All the girls got the nice pj’s and the boys got the naughty! These two thought that they were so funny in portraying what was on their shirts. This was all their idea!So now they are all decked out for the holidays! At least when they go to sleep at night! I sewed all of the pajama bottoms and made an iron-on vinyl with my Silhouette machine for the t-shirts. They were pretty easy to do…even though I had to make 10 sets!
Does your family do Christmas pj’s? I remember getting pajamas when I was a kid and I always loved them! There are so many fun memories at Christmas time and I love keeping the old ones and adding new ones! What are some of your favorite childhood memories? Are you keeping them alive?
May your holidays be filled with sweet memories and may you make many more new ones for your children to carry on!
They turned out way cute! Love the colors of the vinyl and the flannel pattern.
Yes, thank you for the idea!!! They were pretty fun to make!
Adorable! What lucky grandkids to have a grandma like you#
Kathy, thank you for taking the time to write your kind comment! I appreciate it. I hope that your holidays are the merriest ever!
Such a marvelous idea………cute PJ’s and cuter grand kids. You’re going to have to pay them the next photo shoot.
That is exactly what my husband said too! And I said “don’t give them any ideas!” :) Luckily for me they still love to pose in front of the camera.
So darling Rita! I will sound very ignorant but could you please explain how you made these iron-on transfers? I am guessing that you have a Cricut or something similar and also guessing there must be iron-on transfer vinyl available? I live in a small Midwestern town without many resources but I think I could find a way to make these with just a little bit more of your expertise to explain or give details for tutorial. Please. Thanks a bunch!
I have a Silhouette machine that I cut my vinyl out with. I am thinking about doing a tutorial on it in the future so keep your eyes out for it. I will show how to design it, cut it and iron it on. I will also try to find places that you can order your vinyl online.
