I absolutely love this time of year…Every thing is Just Peachy…the weather is starting to cool down, the leaves are turning and my peach tree is ready to be picked!

Happy Labor Day!
Hope you are all having a
Happy Labor Day!
I had a great weekend. My husband and I went up to our cabin, the leaves along the way were breathtaking as we drove up the canyon!
I could not believe all the beautiful colors…everywhere we looked!
I went to Swiss Days in Midway
It was a crazy mad house like always, but my daughter joined me and we did a little shopping! I was able to meet the cute lady behind the Mormon Mom Planner! I did not get my planner yet because she told me they are coming out with a new one that is perfect for empty nesters…like me! :) I can’t wait to see it! If you love a good planner like I do, check out the Mormon Mom Planner. She also has one that is a general planner for those that do not want the “Mormon” part! :) They are very reasonably priced, they have lots of room to write and organize your day and they are darling! Check them out!
After I got back home, I did some laundry and cleaned things up a bit then I went to the Dixie Chicks Concert with my daughter and granddaughter that night! We went to dinner first and then to a fun concert! It was outdoors and the weather was beautiful!
So that is what I did last weekend…I hope that you were able to do something fun with the ones that you love too!

Sewing Retreat
I just spent some very fun days with my best friend at a Sewing Retreat! We went up to the cabin for a few days of S & S. (Sewing and Shopping!)
We started out by driving up the canyon and it was just beautiful…the leaves are starting to turn colors and the weather was gorgeous! We went to our new favorite quilt shop in Midway, Utah, called My Girlfriend’s Quilt Shoppe. We got the fabric to start a new Vintage Christmas Quilt.

Ice Cooler Makeover
This summer my youngest son and I went to a boutique/yard sale during our town celebration. We spied a fun ice cooler, but neither one of us bought it…until my son went back and snatched up this cutie:

New Quilt Shop
There is a new quilt shop in Midway, Utah that is called My Girlfriend’s Quilt shop. They have a wonderful assortment of fabrics and a great collection of wool fabrics, so it has become one of my favorite shops to visit! They have had a shop in Logan, Utah and now they have a second store in Midway!
They had an open house a week or so ago and so I stopped in the afternoon and I was able to meet the owner of the Logan store and her sister, Kim…as in Kimberbell!

Choices-Thought
Before I do my Choices-Thought I want to wish every mom out there a Happy Mother’s Day!
Today is the first day of school here so…I want to wish all of you mothers out there an unofficial Happy Mother’s Day! I used to call my sister every year on the first day of school and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day…and I kind of feel like a young mom today, because I am sending one of the kids that I tend on a regular basis to school all day today! He is in first grade and I have been tending him since he was 6 months old! It is a bittersweet feeling, because you miss the baby/toddler stage, yet you are happy for their future! I am not sure what I will do with my time now, but I do have some fun plans for the next couple of weeks to celebrate! (I could clean house or work in the yard, but that is no fun!)

There is one mistake on the bookmark…oops! You will need to change 23 Sept to page 81, “Eternal Families”. I did page 85 twice! Sorry!
For those that do not know what this is, it is a challenge to read one conference talk, from the April 2016 conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, each day for 40 days .
You will need to use the May Issue
to get all of the articles that are used on the bookmark, whether you read it from the magazine or download it on to your devises.
