I finally got my “Primitive Garden” Quilt finished after about 2.5 years!!! I love everything about this quilt and I am so glad that I took this challenge on, when I had never even done any wool applique projects before!

We have been busy at our house doing all kinds of fun crafts this summer. A couple of the projects that we have done are Vinyl and Tie Dyed Shirts! The kids have had so much fun with these and they were super easy to do!
I tended one extra granddaughter for a few days over the 4th of July Holiday, so we thought it would be fun to make these red shirts!

I made a hipster bag back in May and my granddaughter and her friend decided that they wanted to make one, so we got some fabric and these two cute girls went to work. We ended up doing part of them one day and finishing them the next week! Here is what their Hipster Bags looked like:
My husband and I spent most of this week going to baseball tournaments! It reminded us of the good old days! :) We had 3 of our grandsons playing in two different tournaments in two different cities, so it was baseball fun filled days!

One of the things on our summer bucket list was to go hiking up to the Timpanogos Caves in American Fork Canyon…and Monday was a pretty cool day temperature wise, so we decided that it would be the perfect time to go!

On our recent trip to Waco, Texas, I found a darling little quilt shop that I visited, called “Simply Fabrics”. I found this cute “Sassy Little Apron” pattern and decided that I “needed it”. It is an easy to sew pattern and it has a very flattering fit!

My husband and I went up to our cabin last week and it was a beautiful site! As we turned around a bend we saw beautiful fields of Wildflowers at the Cabin! There were so many of them that I decided I “needed” a beautiful bouquet to enjoy for the time that we were there!

When we were planning my dad’s 90th birthday party, he said that his favorite color was blue, so we used blue and yellow to decorate with. I decided at the last minute to make a Blue Turning Twenty Quilt for him! I did this quilt with blue and cream and I was able to find all of the fabric at a local quilt shop called “Broadbents”.

It is the time of year for parades and fireworks, so I decided to make some “Fireworks & Parade Fun Bags! I first saw this idea at eighteen 25 and thought what a fun idea. I love watching parades and fireworks, but it seems like the wait time is long for the little ones. I thought it would be fun to make some little bags with some goodies in them just in time for the 4th of July! These are perfect for filling with your favorite treats and little toys!
I put licorice, candies, poppers, bubbles, and snaps in this bag, but you can fill with whatever treats your family likes!
June was a very busy month and I cannot believe that it is soon going to be the 4th of July! Summer is going by way too fast…but with that said, it is time for the July 2016 Visiting Teaching Handout for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

This last weekend we had my Dad’s 90th Birthday Party! My dad is Amazing…he is still independent and lives on his own. He does his own cooking, cleaning, laundry and garden! He is a great inspiration and friend to all. He is a wonderful example to all of his family and everyone loves him!
