This project today comes from my daughter. My husband and I have been gone so much the last week or so that my daughter offered to take pictures of this darling skirt that she made for her daughter to help me out!
This skirt is pieced together, so you could make this in any color combo that you want.
The pattern for this skirt is from the book: “Blossom Garden Party Skirts” The name of this skirt is called, “Ring Around the Posy”
It is an Izzy and Ivy Designs pattern. This book has so many cute patterns in it and my daughter just bought some more fabric to make a really cute ruffly skirt from this same pattern book. I will have her take pictures when she gets that one finished.
This pattern is a very simple one and the instructions in the book were easy to follow, so she was able to get this project done in a small amount of time. (Always a bonus!)
Have any of you done any summer sewing projects yet?
Two of my granddaughters have been asking for sewing lessons, so I guess that I had better get on the ball and figure something out for all of them to learn on. Any suggestions?
As I mentioned at the top of the blog, my husband and I had been gone last week. We took two of our grandsons to a basketball tournament in Las Vegas. It was a lot of fun and the boys seemed to have a really good time. One of our grandsons played in 4 basketball games, we went to Bass Pro Shop, Circus Circus, shopping, swimming every day and of course out to eat. It was very hot so we were glad that this was a basketball tournament that was inside the air conditioned Las Vegas convention center and not baseball that would have been outside! :)
It was fun to be able to go with these two, they were so good and got along so well! We all had a great time.
My husband and I went up to our cabin the day after we got home just to recuperate from all the running around though! We are not as young as we used to be! :)
