Meet Tilly the Witch!

Today I would like you to meet my newest friend… Tilly.   That is short for Matilda.  She is so kind and has agreed to come and stay with us for awhile!  She is not much trouble at all and even though she may look a little odd, we have tried to make her feel right at home here.

I just love making new friends…don’t you too?Tilly  brought a friend along to be with her.  She sits right there on her shoulder and she keep Tilly company all day long.  They kind of keep a watch out for me, which is a real comforting feeling! These dancing pumpkins are having a real party, and love having Tilly there with them too.Tilly agreed to let me use one of her boots to decorate up my front door for the Halloween season…that’s just the kind of witch that she is!I decided that she needed a tree to lean on and give her just a little bit of protection…and it makes her little friend feel just a bit more at home! Tilly has agreed that she will keep watch over my porch this Halloween Season and that she will welcome any newcomers or friends.  She has promised to cast no spells and will make no potent potions to hand out to passerbys.  She will keep all bats in her pockets and toads under her hat.  All in all she has promised that she would be pretty much perfect..
But I am not sure that I totally trust her…She is a witch after all!If you would like to make a new friend go here for instructions on how to make a sitting scarecrow.  This was my inspiration for making Tilly!

Tilly and I would love to wish you a very Haunting Halloween Season!

Love Ya!

  1. I love EVERYTHING about Fall! I am a Halloween junkie! I’ve actually thought about decorating by bedroom with a Halloween theme! …colors, crisp air, totally awesome decorations…everything!

  2. I also love the boot. Would yoiu have a pattern for it. That would be better for my porch. Love all your ideas. I just made the Halloween candy jars you made with friends and family. Made for my daughter-in-law and she was thrilled.

    1. I do not have a pattern for the boot. I bought it at Swiss days several years ago and unfortunately I do not remember the booth name or person that made it. Sorry.

    1. The scarf is just a piece of purple ruffled fabric! I did not even sew it, I just tied the ends in knots! So now you can have one for yourself, just get some ruffled fabric. I bought that fabric at Hobby Lobby with a coupon!
