This is a fun little project that I did with a couple of my grandkids a while back and they loved it!
It is a great way to recycle some of those fun fruit snack, cereal or granola boxes! Any fun printed box would work.
Here is a fun cereal box…
With a fun game on the back of the box!
These are a great little gift idea for kids of all ages!
To make these fun little books, you cut your box so the front and the back are the same size. Cut paper for the inside of the book. Then punch the holes for the binding and add your plastic combs. I just have a small hand punch to punch the holes, but it works out OK, I just have to punch one cover at a time and 2-3 of sheets of paper at a time. If you do not have one of these punches, you can also just take your “book” to most copy places and they will do the binding for you for a nominal charge.
Another way to bind them is to just punch holes and tie with ribbons or put metal rings in the holes.
Add some fun accessories and you have a great little birthday gift, Easter Basket gift, or just a great “I’m Bored” project!
These fruit snack books were from one box! Mickey was on the front and Minnie on the back, so I just added a chipboard back and got two darling books out of one box!
What fun recycled projects have you done lately? I love it when I can get something else from the packaging! There are so many fun packaging products out there, I know that you can think of one that would be perfect for someone you love!
What a great idea!!!! I love the Mickey Mouse ones to give to your kids if you are going to Disneyland. Perfect for the car ride.
What a fun idea! You could also use it for an autograph book at Disneyland!
Great idea! My grandsons would love these! Thanks – Carrie
That’s such a cute idea :)
Fun! What a great way to use special treats!
