As many of you know that follow me right now…I am trying to cut out the sugar and sweet treats except for one day a week. I usually make a dessert on Sundays and this is what I made last Sunday!
They are so yummy with the crushed up cookies in the fluffy frosting and they have a special treat in the cupcakes…a whole cookie in the bottom!
There are lots of recipes for these cupcakes out there in blog land, but I chose this one from Lil’ Luna because it only makes 12 cupcakes and I wanted to try this frosting with marshmallow cream in it! I was not disappointed! I made a couple of alterations in this recipe, but for the most part it is the same. My husband and I both loved these cupcakes and I will definitely keep this recipe. I gave a plate of them away, so they would not be tempting me!
As I said earlier…this recipe is a keeper! I am sure that when the kids hear about these they are going to want some for Sunday dessert too!
I love the little surprise in the bottom of each cupcake! These are extra decadent and make for a very sweet treat! Do you have a special occasion coming up that you might need to try out these cupcakes? Or hey, maybe even a family night would be special enough!
