Dec 2023 Ministering Handout

Happy Holidays everyone!

Hope all is well and you are filled with the Christmas spirit!

Our family is getting started with our annual Sinter Klaas Party the first weekend of December.  It is always a fun way to welcome in the Christmas season.  This tradition started after our oldest son came home from his mission to The Netherlands and we have been doing it ever since!  We have had to change up what we do to adjust for the ages of our grandchildren, but everyone seems to love it and we don’t have to compete with the other families for a date!!

So, this month I decided to use a talk from last year’s Christmas devotional.  It is the talk titled: Christmas’s Greatest Gift by Elder Jose’ A Teixeira.  Such a wonderful talk and if you have time, click on the link and read it for yourself!

I love this quote from Elder Teixeira:Don’t you love the hope and joy this message brings?

Here is the message card.  It is formatted to a 4 x 6 size.  Those of you that would like the jpeg image, simply right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder of your choice.  You can print your own, or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.

Please remember that all images are for personal use only, they are not for resale.

This blank card is perfect for those of you that would like to translate.  Or if you are in need of a cute note, invite or handout, all you need to do is add your own text!It is also sized down so that you could use them for a tag!  There are 2 per 4 x 6 card.We found these cute little nativity sets at Swiss Days, but you can find nativities a lot of different places this time of year.  You could also just do a treat or a small decoration etc.  or you could just print the message.

Please remember that it is your sisters that are important, not the handout!  Make sure your sisters know how much you care about them and love them.

A fun little side note this month…We had a greenhouse installed this summer.  It is an Apex Shed that I had custom built with windows on all sides and in the door.  With a fiberglass roof and workbenches on each side.  It was a lot of work to get the site ready for them to install it.  I had to cut down trees, build a retaining wall, haul gravel, change sprinklers and build grow boxes!  But now I can take great pride in it and I love that it is a greenhouse/she shed!  My husband is worried that I might go live out there! :)

It is where I photograph most of the pictures now because the lighting is wonderful!

I thought it would be fun to decorate for the winter, so I turned it into a winter wonderland and I am loving it…it is my new happy place!

That is my Dec 2023 ministering handouts.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season, and you remember what the greatest gift ever given is and hold it close to your heart!

Merry Christmas and Happy Ministering!

  3. I am so grateful for your ministering prints! You are so awesome to share.

I am also loving that you shared about your greenhouse – I’m more than just a wee bit envious! ENJOY!
It’s fun to have you share more of your ‘doings’ in life. I love your printables, but I love even more when you share the normal ‘goings on’ that are part of your life!
I would love more info on your Sinter Klaas party….sounds like a perfect way to start the Christmas Season!
Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas Season with your family!

    1. Korine, Thank you for taking the time to write your kind words. I really appreciate them. I am loving my greenhouse and I am hoping to share more next spring when I actually start using it as a greenhouse! I know I don’t post very much lately and I am hoping to do better in this new coming year. Our Sinter Klaas party this year consisted of making gingerbread houses. In years past, we have had Santa come and we learned all about the Sinter Klaas traditions. I always gave matching pj’s to start off the Christmas season. But as all of our grandchildren have gotten older, we decided not to have Santa anymore and the pj’s have been replaced with sweatshirts. But everyone still loves it. We usually play a few games and we always have dinner and yummy desserts. It is a fun tradition that I usually don’t have to share with the other in-laws so it has become one of our favorites.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and the Spirit of Christmas will live in your heart all year long. Happy Ministering!
