Jan. 2023 Ministering Handout

 Jan. 2023 Ministering Handout!

I love January and the new BEGININGS!  I am not one to make a lot of resolutions, but I do like to start new things and learn new things…this year is no different.  Are you as excited as I am to learn more about the Savior’s life in the New Testament?

This month, for the Jan. 2023 Ministering Handout, I have chosen one of Pres. Nelson’s talk from last conference, titled: “Overcome the World and Find Rest”

He starts out by telling everyone how amazing you all are and then goes on to state that our Heavenly Father and Jesus are “intimately aware” of your circumstances, Your goodness,  your needs, and your prayers for help.  He then states, “Again and again, I pray for you to feel Their love for you.”

Who does not love this great prophet of ours?

Since it is the new year and the start of “Come Follow Me for the New Testament”,  I thought I would share with you one of my ideas to help with my study!

It is simply a notebook to write down all of the times that Jesus comes to people and helps them.  Write down what he does…how he helps them.   Then you could write down things that you could do to help others.  Another thing that I plan to do is write down the times that the Savior has come to me in my time of need.  This would be a priceless heirloom for you and your family.  You could do this together as a family or it could be your own. Here is the ministering message card.  It is formatted to a 4 x 6 size.  For those of you that would like a jpeg image, simply right click over the image.  Go to “save image as”, then save in a folder of  your choice.  You can print from there or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.

Please remember that all of my images are for personal use only!
The blank card is perfect for those of you that would like to translate.  Or if you are in need of a cute card, note, handout or invite this should work.Next, is this tag that you could add to the notebook.  Of course, you do not need to give a book, you could simply print out the cards or add your own ideas! Also, included are the blank tags for you to personalize any way that you would like.

There are all kinds of study guides and helps out there for us to use.  And I like to use several different ones.  But I heard an idea in the podcast, “Talk of Him” that I am going to be trying this year.  It said to read the reading assignment and record your own thoughts and ideas that come to you BEFORE reading any other commentaries or study helps!  That way the spirt can let you know what YOU need first!  I love this idea!

What are some of your favorite study guides and helps.  I would love to hear them!

Well that is my Jan 2023 Ministering Handout.

Please remember, as always…that it is not the handout that matters…it is your sisters!  Let them know how much you love and care about them!

I hope you all have the best in 2023.  May it be the best year yet.  May you have hope, faith and courage and may you invite the Lord to walk the path beside you.

  1. Hi Rita, I could not get the Ministering Message for Jan 2023 to print in a 4 x 6 inch size. My computer would only print it in an 8.5 x 11 inch size. What am I doing wrong. I think this is amazing and wanted to share with others.

    1. Tammy, is your printer set to 8.5 x 11? You might need to change the settings on your printer. It should be fairly simple to change, just go to settings in the printer and change the size. Hope this helps.

  2. Dearest Rita,

Once again your creativity has rescued me when I needed a handout for my RS lesson.

    Thank you again and again,
    Marcia
