June 2020 Ministering Handout

June 2020 Ministering Handout.

It’s time once again for the ministering handout.

My dear sweet dad passed away on memorial day at the age of 93.  It has been hard to go through all of this with the corona virus stuff.  But we were able to have a lovely graveside service with all of my family.  I think that my dad would have approved!

I have been doing a lot of thinking and when I read this quote, it just spoke to my heart. This quote from President Hinckley is so appropriate for all that is going on in the world today!

And this month, I knew that I wanted to do something with strawberries!  Not only because they are delicious, beautiful and yummy.  But because where I grew up we always celebrated Strawberry Days in June!  I am sure there will be no celebrations this year…but we can still enjoy all the strawberries! Here is the June 2020 Ministering Handout card.  It is formatted to a 4 x 6 size.  If you would like to print as a jpeg image, right click over image.  Go to “save image as” then save in a folder.  You can print from there, or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.

As always…my printables are for personal use only.  They are not for Resale! The blank card is for those of you that would like to translate.  Or if you need a card, invite, note or cute handout!

For those of you that would like the PDF download, simply click on the link(s) below:

I thought it would be fun to do something with strawberries, so I chose this yummy Torani Strawberry flavoring!  You can add it to soda, snow cones, make flavored water with fresh fruit, or Italian Soda!  But there are many other things that you could pair with this handout.  Including strawberry candies, strawberry lotion,  a candle or fresh strawberries!

So that is my June 2020 Ministering handout.  Please remember as always…it is your sisters that are important…not the handout!  Make sure the sisters you visit, know how much you love and care about them!

  6. So sorry , Rita about your Dad. It’s hard to lose our parents, and even harder when all of this virus stuff makes everything more difficult to deal with. Thank you for being such a trooper and continuing on with the ministering handouts at this difficult time for you. The message you have for us this month is wonderful. Such an appropriate message for these past couple of months (really for anytime, but seems especially appropriate right now).

  7. Can you please provide the link of where this quote is from? I love your handouts. I have been using them for many years!!!

    1. Gina, I think that this quote comes from several different talks of Pres. Hinckley. He was always so positive and encouraging to the saints. I found this quote from Pinterest, but when I did a Google search I got several different talks…all from President Hinckley with different parts of this quote.

    1. Marcia, Thank you so much. Your kindness and tenderness mean so much to me. Thank you for your sweet words and your support. Love you! Happy Ministering.

    1. Debbie, Thank you for your kind words and your sweet support. Both are very much appreciated! Happy Ministering!

  11. Rita, the Lord has blessed you with an unsurmountable talent that you have turned around and shared with us to bless the lives of others. I am so blessed to be able to call you my “sister” in the gospel and I am so very saddened for the loss of your father. I do not have your crafty talent but I have been told I have the talent of “charity” .I take your beautifully designed thoughts each month and share them with at least 20 sisters. My question, since i am “not talented” in that regards: I am wasting a lot of paper by making them on 4 by 6 cards. Is there a way that I can get 4 cards to a sheet a paper? (I am much older than you are and can’t figure out how to do that). Thank you so much for what you do, I look forward to your new ideas each month. I don’t have “assigned” sisters because I reach out to so many (my R.S. President says I keep my eyes and ears open for her. :)

    1. Candy, Wow! What a wonderful service you do for so many. Thank you for sharing your “charity”, which is a beautiful talent! Are you printing the PDF downloads onto a full sheet of paper? Do you know how to change the size of paper in your printer? Let me know and I will try to help you.

  12. My sweet 87 year old Father passed away also on May 24, 2020. He is now with my Angel Mother. I miss him terribly! The saying is “When you love deeply, your sorrow is deep.” Thank you for this sweet thought.

    1. Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss too! It is really hard, but we both have to think of how happy they are. That thought: “When you love deeply, your sorrow is deep” was said to me by one of his hospice workers. It is so true and it makes the hurting okay…because that means you were loved a lot!

  13. So sorry to hear about your father’s passing. It is so comforting to know that our parents are together again, But, they are always missed.
Thank you for all your wonderful ideas and ministering thoughts. My sisters and neighbors all love them so much.

  14. I am so sorry for your loss of your father. Even though we know he is in a better place it is still hard not to have them here physically. I love the picture showing our good-bye is there welcome home, as I am sure your father was. I also want to tell you how much I appreciate your monthly handouts, they not only bring joy to the sisters I minister to but also to me as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your talent with us.

  15. So sorry for the passing of your dad, sending prayers and hugs. Thank you for the beutiful handout I appreciated.
