July 2012 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month the message is “Demonstrating Our Discipleship through Love and Service”.   It tells how our service as visiting teachers closely resembles the ministry of our Savior when we show our love for those we visit.  I decided to make this little pocket and a tag with part of the message on it.  The back of the pocket has a cute flower on it!You can add a candy bar to the pocket or some other little treat.  Or you could give your sisters a vase with some flowers you have grown.  (I picked some of my Shasta Daisies!)Here is the printable.  To print, right click over image and go to copy, open your favorite program like Word or Presentations, right click again and go to paste.  You can now print this page.  If you would like to save it as a picture, right click on image and go to “save image as”  and save it into a folder in your pictures file.

To make the pocket, cut around the outside, fold at the bottom, fold in both flaps on the sides and glue the flaps to form the pocket.  Cut out tag and tie ribbons, because as you know ribbons make everything cuter! :)

Happy Visiting!

  1. AWESOME!! SO CUTE!! I CANT WAIT TO HAND THESE OUT TO THE SISTERS I TEACH.. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING, I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY :)

  2. That’s fantastic! :) I’m a primary teacher by trade (before having kids, that is!), and I think these would make a great reminder to hand out in conjunction with morning worship in the staff room. :) Thanks for the free printable – I bookmarked it for later on! :)

  3. Thank you for the cute download tag and for the flower and vase idea- good for anyone at anytime, not just this month’s VT!

    1. You are welcome! Thank you for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate your comment and your support! I am glad that you can use one of my ideas.

  4. This is amazing, do you mind me asking what programme you used to create these delightful paper crafts? I’m really keen to learn new skills on my PC and clipart / papercraft looks fun. xx

    1. The program that I use is called Scrapbook Max and I download the majority of my images from justsoscrappy.com. It is really a user friendly program but I had to get my DIL to help me when it comes to installing the images as it is quite a process!

  5. Thank you so much! I found your site via Pinterest and I’m so glad I did! I always want to do crafty things like this, but with three young kids I can’t seem to find the time so thank you again :)

    1. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comment. I am glad that you can use one of my ideas, that makes me happy!
