I know yesterday was Father’s Day…but I was the one that got just what I wanted this weekend! I got to go to the Wanship, Utah Antique Sale! The sale only happens once a year and it is always on Father’s day weekend!
I do not know the name of the guy that owns all of this, but he opens it up once a year to the public to buy any of his things and believe me he has LOTS of things!
Don’t you just love this old car that is built into the side of the building!
And there are things hanging on every wall, door and any post that are on his place!
Here is a small collage of some of the items that he has…saddles and boots to iron wheels to a whole door full of tools, not to mention the shed that the door opens up to is full of tools of all kinds. There are bottles on the tin roof that are aging to beautiful hues of purple, green, brown or blue and inside one of the buildings are some collectible kitchen items like tins, bowls, dishes etc. So much fun everywhere you look!
I was looking for some wooden crates and came home with all of these little lovelies! I came home and washed them all down (because I am weird like that!) and I am ready to put them all to good use!
This is a bottle crate from the Mid-Continental Bottling Inc. I was totally excited to find this crate and I cannot wait to really use it for drinks at parties, BBQ’s or “S’more” outings in the back yard!
I am also in love with this orange crate! I love that the label is still partially intact on this crate. I am going to stand this on the side like this and put it out in my patio with some trinkets or flowers in it. I will take pictures when I figure out exactly what I am going to do with this! But that is half of the fun…figuring out what I am going to do!
This crate is from NY, USA. I am not sure what was shipped in it, but I love the screen bottom! I am also going to stand this on it’s end and put some fun thing to showcase in it. I am not sure if this one is going inside or outside! Any suggestions?
This little cutie is the first thing that I picked up. I am definitely going to drill holes in the bottom and plant flowers in this! I really am not sure what I am going to do with this box, but I loved the hinged lid and the rope handles. It would also make a great planter, but I am not exactly sure. Again, does anyone have any suggestions? I would love to hear your ideas!
My next door neighbor also came over and asked me if I wanted an old drop leaf table that she was going to throw out…UM, YES! So I really scored and I cannot wait to refinish it!
So that was my fun Father’s Day weekend outing! If any of you are ever in the area of Wanship, Utah on the Saturday before Father’s day…and you want an adventure, be sure to stop in and check out this place!
I would have loved this!!! So cool!
It’s so funny.. im scrolling through pinterest and find this! Im actually the person who owns it (his name is dale nelson) grandaughter! I’m so glad you liked it, I always love going up there, and I might’ve met you this year! :)
Alexis, I love that place and I always look forward every year to Father’s Day Weekend! Thanks for commenting and letting me know who you are!
