Block Of the Month Quilt-WIP

This project is a work in progress.

It is my quilt top from the block of the month that I just finished!  This is from the quilt shop, Just Sew, in Highland, Utah.

I love the fun, bright color combinations in the quilt with the white sashings to set it all off!

This was such a fun quilt to make and I learned a lot of different techniques this last year while making these blocks!

It is called “Sew Classic Sampler”, by Gigi’s Thimble

I could not find this pattern online, it says that it is expired, but there are many other patterns that are darling!

Here is a close up of some of the blocks.  Don’t you just love all the different colors in this quilt!  There were many different techniques in the making of this quilt.  There are 3 kinds of piecing (regular, paper and template) as well as a little applique!  I need to get it quilted soon, so I can put it out for spring and summer!

These blocks were the most difficult and I have never done the Dresden plate before, but I kind of liked doing them and I think that they are beautiful.  I learned the art of applique on these blocks!

So now I have a job of getting it quilted!  I will show the finished product as soon as I get it done! :)

I have been sewing quite a bit lately and I have this quilt top plus 3 more tops that are done, so I really need to get started on the quilting part!  I am just a little bit nervous, because I feel like I am still learning the art of quilting, but I have to learn somewhere and so I need to bite the bullet and just get to them!  Then as, if I do not have enough quilts…I signed up for the next block of the month quilt!  It is just as beautiful and I am excited to learn more quilting techinques!  What can I say?   I am just a little bit nuts (okay maybe a lot nuts!)  :)

Thanks for Visiting!  Love Ya!
