This DIY Coca-Cola Crate is so fun to make and it is easy too! :) It would make a fun gift for someone…be the star of your BBQ table…or be great for any summer get together! To make this little cutie, I just purchased a small wooden crate from my local craft store.
1. I painted the whole thing white with acrylic paint.
2. I cut a Coca-Cola vinyl with my Silhouette machine. If you do not have a cutting machine, you can cut yours out with an Exacto knife. The font for the coca-cola is from dafont.com and it is called Loki Cola. I used the vinyl as a stencil, so I picked out the letters and left the outside, so I could stencil.
3. I just used red and white acrylic paint for the whole project. I sanded the front good so that it had a nice distressed look.
4. I rubbed Johnson Paste wax to put a nice finish on the whole crate! It makes it look a little more vintage than just spray varnish on it.Here is a close-up of how much I distressed it! I love making new things look old! :) Just tie some cute ribbons to your bottles and you have a fun gift or cute summer decor!
Of course you could personalize your crate with a name, or monogram if you wanted to!This is perfect for a backyard BBQ, a gift for your favorite “Coke”aholic, or just for some fun, cute summer decor in your kitchen! It also looks great with my “Drink Coca-Cola” sign that I made last year!
So if you are in need of a fun little craft idea, BBQ idea, home/kitchen decor idea, or gift idea…here is a super easy DIY Coca-Cola crate that you can make!
So darn cute…it will also match your Coca Cola Quilt…..what a clever idea…Thanks for the idea….I need to get an ice-cold Coke now….you made me thirsty….
Roswitha, I won’t tell you how many bottles of Coke were consumed during the making of that crate…but my granddaughter calls me a “coke”aholic for a good reason! :)
Love it. I need to make one. where did you buy the crate?
At Michaels, use a coupon and they are only 5-6 dollars.
