Bicycle Pillow

I bought this pattern several months ago so that I could have it finished in time for summer…and I think that I will declare that it is now summer!  :)bicycle pillowThis was a fun little project that I found at Gardner Village in West Jordan, UT, at the Village Quilt Shop.

bicycle pillowHere is a close up of the stitching details.  I fell in love with the colors of this pillow with the red and the aqua blue!  I knew right where I was going to put it when I got it finished!bicycle pillowThe blue pillow behind the bicycle pillow is off of my couch…look how perfectly it matches!  I love the POP of color in my living room with the red.

This pattern is from Oh My Bloomin’ Threads.  It is called Biking Sunbonnet Sue.bicycle pillowSo this is the beginning of my summer decor.  We are starting to get warm days now (in between the rain storms)  which is perfect weather, if you ask me!  This is how I would love my summer days to be…but alas…I live in a desert.  It is going to get HOT!

Are you ready for summer?  I am ready to be outside, eating Popsicles, watering my flowers and enjoying the great outdoors!

I got most of my planting done…except for a couple of planter boxes that I am hoping to go get tomorrow.  Then I can sit back and just enjoy the beautiful colors and the wonderful smells!

Thanks for visiting Today!

    1. Bev, thank you so much for your kind comment…I am just a busy body I guess. I feel like I am slowing down as I get older, but I just keep going!

  1. I really LOVE all your “fixin’ up” projects – the ladder in the laundry room, the patio furniture, and this pillow. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas. We planted several fruit trees in March and are looking forward to a good harvest – from the peaches and apples, at least – they’re loaded. We garden a half acre altogether, so we’ll be canning a lot in June and July. In the meantime, I plan to redo my patio furniture also, and love your ideas. And thanks for those great recipes! I can’t wait to make those brownies.

    1. Judy, thank you so much for your sweet comment. I love to hear from you. I am afraid that my peach tree is not going to have very many peaches on it this year! :( It is usually loaded and I have to thin them out every year…I do not know if they froze or if a big wind knocked them off, but I am very sad. I love fresh peaches, they are one of my favorite fruits! So enjoy your fruit this year! I have been working out in my yard all week and I think that I am finally done planting flowers! I found some fun new things this year and I am excited to share them, so stay tuned! Hope you have a great day!
