#Bloom Quilt-Row 1!

This quilt is a block a week and we have already completed the first row:bloom quilt-row 1This is a sew along with Lori Holt and I am loving this new applique technique!  These are fun to put together and I love the look of the vintage fabrics!  This fabric line is called “Calico Days”.bloom quilt row 1This is the first block in the quilt.  I am hand stitching my applique pieces, but you could also do a machine blanket stitch or a close zig zag stitch.bloom quilt-row 1This fun block is the second one that I did.  I love the reds and blues in this fun flower!bloom quilt-row 1Here is the third block.  A double flower in this block.  I have all the border pieces all cut, so when I get the applique done, all I have to do is add the borders.  It is great to have everything all ready to go!bloom quilt-row 1This is the 4th block!  I love the colors of this block!  I have actually made another project with a couple of these blocks that I will show you in another post…but I am having so much fun making them, I just had to do a few more!

bloom quilt-row 1So this is the first row in the #Bloom Quilt…I am looking forward to the next row!  This project has been fun to work on since the weather here in Utah is still kind of yucky, at least I have something fun to work on in the house that brightens my day!  :)

Hope you are having a Great President’s Day!  Thanks for Visiting!

I was in the middle of my homework and saw your email … I knew you would have something to help me decompress and smell the flowers. Thank you for sharing your celebrations, creations, and discoveries. I’m not a seamstress but I sure enjoy your projects.
