July 2015 Visiting Teaching Handout

Here is my July 2015 Visiting Teaching Handout.

I cannot believe that it is July already!  I am having a hard time keeping up with summer and trying to get in all the fun activities that I want to do!  :)   I took last week off and I spent one of those days with my foot on ice!  I do not know exactly what I did, but I pulled a muscle or tendon or something in my foot.  (I know…I’m terribly coordinated!)  It is doing much better now, but I still have a bit of a limp.  I had better get it better real soon because I am going to be chasing a 2 year old around the rest of the week!  Well, so much about me…

This month the visiting teaching message for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is:  Divine Attributes of Jesus Christ:  Forgiving and Merciful.  You can read the entire message here.   I chose to focus on President Uchtdorf’s message.  I absolutely love this message…because after all aren’t we all in need of forgiveness??

Gardening is Just Another Day at the Plant

Today I have a  fun little thought that would be a great gift for all you gardeners out there!  I saw this saying and it just made me laugh out loud!  :)

Gardening-is-just-another-day-at-the-Plant-000-Page-1
This would be a fun gift for your favorite gardener, or the person that is a wanna be gardener!

This would be great to do as a photo block like I did here.  Or you could simply put this in a frame and put it out on your patio table!  This is formatted to an 8 x 10 size.  If you want to do a photo block remember to develop it with a matte finish, not glossy!  If you want the JPEG format or photo format, right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder.  You can print your own or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.  For those of you that would like the PDF download, just click on the link:

I hope that you all have a great weekend…and that you get to spoil all of those great fathers out there and let them know how much you love and appreciate them!

Thanks for visiting today!

Thursday’s Thought-It’s all Good

Here is my newest installment of the Thursday’s Thought!

I saw this saying on a plaque when I was with the girls on our “Girl’s Weekend” a few months ago and I thought that this would be a fun one to frame.  You could also print this and put it on a wood block to make it look like a canvas print.  If you do that, just be sure to print your photo in a matte finish!  I did it in black and white so that it could go with any color decor.  This is formatted to an 8 x 10 size.It's-all-Good-000-Page-1To print as a jpeg, or photo, right click over image and go to “save image as”, then save in a folder.  You can then print it or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.  For those of you that would like a PDF download click on this link:

it’s all good

This is a great print to frame and would perfect for gifts, home decor, office decor, or for a fun teacher gift.  With all of the end of the year gifts that you need, (school, dance, sports etc.) this is a perfect little thank you gift!

I would like to make a canvas block  with this and I can think of several places and people that this could go to!  :)

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you are having a “GOOD” Thursday!

March 2015 Visiting Teaching Handout

Today I have the March Visiting Teaching Handout for Relief Society for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

This month the attribute is Long Suffering and Patient, something that the Savior was very good about and something that I definitely need to keep working on!March 2015 VT handout Continue reading

Winter Invite

For Christmas a few weeks ago, we decided to give everyone a gift of an activity rather than a wrapped present.  For the granddaughters, I am doing a baking lesson/sleepover party!  They got a baking kit and for our baking party we are going to learn how to make frosted sugar cookies and decorated cupcakes!  The little girls have been asking for a grandma sleepover again for quite awhile, so I decided that we could combine the baking lessons with a sleepover.  They were very excited!

I thought that it would be fun to make an invitation for each of them to make it official and decided that I would share a blank invitation with you!winter invitation Continue reading

Thursday’s Thought-WARNING

Happy Thursday Everyone!  I hope that you are all well and that you are having a good week.  Today’s thought is a fun one that you could print and put in your laundry room…because who doesn’t need to brighten up their laundry room!! :)She-Who-Does-the-Laundry-000-Page-1This is formatted to an 8 x 10 size.  If you would like to print it as a jpeg, right click over the image and go to “save image as”.  Then save in a folder and you can print from there, or send it out to your favorite photo processing center.

Here is the pdf download:  warning-she who does the laundry

I have been busy working on a Relief Society Stake Women’s Conference.  I am on the committee for the decorations and we have finally decided exactly what we are doing and now we are busily working on all of the details.  We are going with a nautical theme because the scripture is Ether 12:4 and it talks about “anchors”  We have a blue and gold color scheme and I hope that it will be pretty!  I have been thinking about it for several months now, so it is good to have it finally start coming together!  I will take pictures that day to share with you.  It is in a couple more weeks.

I hope that everyone is having a great week!  Thanks for visiting today!  :)

December 2104 Visiting Teaching Handout

How is everyone doing this Monday morning?  Did you all have a great Thanksgiving?  I hope you did…my husband and I went to Park City to a wonderful restaurant for our Thanksgiving dinner…it was delightful!  All of our kids went to their in-laws this year, so this is our off year!  I did cook a turkey breast for our Sunday dinner, so my husband can now have his leftover turkey sandwiches!  :)

This month for the visiting teaching message for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it is called “The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ:  Prince of Peace”.  I cannot think of a better message for the month of December!  I chose to highlight the scripture; John 16:33, where the Savior himself is talking to us.Dec-2014-VT-handout- Continue reading
