December 2104 Visiting Teaching Handout

How is everyone doing this Monday morning?  Did you all have a great Thanksgiving?  I hope you did…my husband and I went to Park City to a wonderful restaurant for our Thanksgiving dinner…it was delightful!  All of our kids went to their in-laws this year, so this is our off year!  I did cook a turkey breast for our Sunday dinner, so my husband can now have his leftover turkey sandwiches!  :)

This month for the visiting teaching message for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it is called “The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ:  Prince of Peace”.  I cannot think of a better message for the month of December!  I chose to highlight the scripture; John 16:33, where the Savior himself is talking to us.Dec-2014-VT-handout- Continue reading

Thanksgiving Worksheet Placemats

I thought that I would make a Thanksgiving worksheet placemat for those of you that have little ones or those of you that have little grandchildren…but when I got looking at some of the ones out there on the web,  I decided to just do a round-up of ideas because there are so many darling placemats already out there!

These are perfect for keeping the little ones entertained while you are busy getting all food ready for the big meal.  If you have a few older kids, let them be in charge of helping the little ones.  You could have little prizes or treats to help them get more excited.

Thursday’s Thought- I’m So Glad…

Since today is Thursday…it’s time once again to do a Thursday’s Thought!

I live in Utah, and our Autumn has been absolutely beautiful this year!  When we go walking in the morning, there is a crisp bite to the air, but by the time we get done the sun is starting to warm up the day!  I can still go outside to play with the kids and enjoy the beautiful world that we live in.  I have a lot of trees in my yard and the colors have been amazing…and I really don’t even mind raking and mulching the leave when the weather is so gorgeous.

So that is what prompted my thought for today.Octobers-quote-000-Page-1

Have you had a beautiful October where you live?

I hope that you will take a minute today to just enjoy the fact that we have Octobers in our lives!  It is a beautiful season…whether we are talking about the month or the season in our life!  Enjoy every moment!

Thanks for Visiting today and have a Happy October Day!
