Blogging Hiatus Update

Well, it has been over a week now since my accident and I am so happy to say that I am on the mend!  I am even typing this post myself! (My DIL typed for me last week!)

My cut is healing well and the bruises are turning beautiful colors, so that is improvement.  I cannot lift anything over 10 lbs for another week or two, so I am still very limited.  I do not have any external stitches, rather, they super glued the top layer together, so that is great that I do not have any outside stitches that will need to be taken out.  My energy and strength are slow in coming back, but I will just take it one day at a time.

My family has been amazing!  My daughter has stepped right in and taken over with so many different things, that I don’t know how we would have done it this past week without her.  And all while she worked full time too!  She is a keeper.  My son in law text-ed me and ask if he could come and water my pots, and he knows how many pots I have and he still did it.  It has been in the 90’s all week, so they would not have lasted very long if he had not done that!   My husband has literally been by my side the whole week and has done everything from laundry, to cooking, to getting me dressed.  He has been a great little slave!  :)  I think that I must be the luckiest girl in the whole world.

I have also had so many friends, family, and neighbors that have called or come to see me and cheer me up and offer their help.  I am truly blessed when it comes to friends, and neighbors…they are the best!

I also want to thank so many of you who left comments, emails and Facebook comments.  I am sorry that I could not respond to any of them, but I want you to know how very much I appreciated your kind comments and prayers and your support.  I was brought to tears many times.  THANK YOU!!

I am learning to slow down…it is hard for me to learn that, but I guess this was a good wake-up call.  I have a couple of projects that I had done before this all happened that I will try to post this week.  I will only be posting a couple of times a week for a while because it is hard to do projects with one hand and especially when that hand is my left hand and I am very right handed!

Sometimes when something happens to you, you start to wonder why…not why did this have to happen…but why am I so very blessed!

Thanks again for all of your support!  Have a great week everyone!

My New Facelift!

Hi Everyone!  Yes you are in the right place!

I got my new face lift and I couldn’t be happier! :)   I am still the same old Pink Polka Dot Creations,  just with a brand new look.

So what do you think?  I hope that you will be able to find your way around a lot easier now and that you will be able to comment, pin on Pinterest and visit me on my social networks a lot better!  There is a “pin” button at the top of each image, so all you have to do is click on the image to pin!  How easy is that.  You can now also follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Bloglovin’ and Google+!  I am really getting high tech now, right??? :)

Also check out the fun feature at the very bottom of my blog!  It is some of my instagram pictures and they will always be changing, so keep checking back from time to time!

I really need to thank Alix, my designer.  She did a fantastic job and my tech guy Eric!  Both of them have been wonderful to work with and hopefully we have now worked out some of the issues that I have been having and it will be smoother sailing from here on out!

So a big

THANK YOU

goes out to both of them!

Have a great day everyone!

Meeting a New Friend!

Yesterday I got to meet Kristi from I Should Be Mopping the Floor!   I do a guest post once a month for her blog, so I felt like I knew her already!  If you have never visited her site you are missing out, she has some great ideas and beautiful pictures!  Take a minute and check it out!She is in Utah for a blogging conference close to my home, so we made arrangements to get together for a short time.

She was so sweet and I felt like she could be my sister (although she would be a younger sister!).  She has helped me a great deal with my blog and is so willing to share her information on things that I can do to improve.  But she is also just a kind, fun, sweet person to be around and the time went by way too quick!

We were able to visit while we made a stop at Gygi’s, one of my favorite places to visit.  I got some lemon flavored chocolate that I want to try out really soon… think lemon dipped strawberries for Mother’s Day!  After that stop we went over to the Blue Lemon for lunch, another one of my favorite places to eat.  So I gave Kristi a very short tour of a couple of my favorite places in SLC.

I had a wonderful time and I am so glad that I got to meet her!  Thanks Kristi! :)

After I let her off to go back to her blogging conference, I made a little detour over to Trader Joe’s since I was so close, I could not pass up the opportunity to just go over there and browse and do a little shopping.  Of course, I bought some of their flowers, just because… and I brought them home and arranged them.

I love the bright yellows and purple is this fun arrangement!  I got the yellow mason jar at Steinmart and have just been waiting to put a fun floral arrangement in it!  It is amazing how happy a bunch of flowers for $5.99 can make this girl! :)

So I got to spend the day with a great friend, we had good food, did a little shopping and flowers to top it all off.  I would say that this was pretty much a perfect day!

I hope that you get to spend a perfect day with someone you love real soon!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for Visiting!  Love Ya!
