My 5 top posts for 2012

This is a post that I shared at Ginger Snap Crafts last week and decided that I would now share it with you.  It was fun to go back through the last year and review some of the projects and recipes.  This is really a good exercise for all of us to do.  Look back through your journals, calendars, or notebooks and take a look at all the things that you accomplished throughout this last year.  It is really quite rewarding to recognize all the things you have completed or overcome!  You should really do this!

My top five posts from last year:

The most viewed and most pinned post was:

My Cute Car Kit.

This is a great way to lighten up your purse and yet still have all the things that you would need while you are out carpooling and driving kids  from place to place,  running errands, etc. etc. etc.  (Do you sometimes feel like you live in your car?)

Ikea- Ruffled Scarf!

I was invited to a Blogger Mixer & Networking Event at Ikea.  It was so much fun to make some new blogging friends and to be able preview some of the new displays at Ikea and get a sneak peek at their new catalog! They fed us breakfast and then they sent on on a shopping spree!  It doesn’t get any better than that!  Thank you Celeste and Ikea and Tauni at SNAP for putting this great event together!

I’d Pick You-Watering Can!

This post brought to you by Astrobrights Papers by Neenah Paper. All opinions are 100% mine.

I used to own a scrapbook store and I love to craft with paper!  One of the things that I love are all of the beautiful colors to choose from.  AstroBrights papers are brilliant as in colors and in using them to draw attention to your projects.  The bright colors attract attention.  I used to sell a lot of their cardstock paper for scrapbooking and paper crafting, but on the business end I would also use AstroBrights paper for all my flyers, newsletters and coupons, because they were brilliant!  They are an excellent quality paper with a good price.

AstroBrights is hosting a “Give a Brighter Year” Sweepstakes where you can win $30,000 in supplies for your favorite school, oh and a little $500 gift card for you!   Click here to enter AstroBrights papers then click on the sweepstakes button.

They also have some family-friendly “Make Something Astrobright” design challenges that would be really fun to participate in.  Check out that link by clicking on the contest button!  AstroBrights papers

I posted  this  fun watering can idea on their face book page, go take a look and see if you can’t get your creative juices flowing to see what fun prizes you might be able to win, not only for yourself but for your favorite school!  Astrobrights papers are a great way to advertise activities and functions going on at your school, business, office, church or family activities.  What great ideas can you come up with using these brilliant papers?

SNAP Conference Recap

I know that I am a day late and dollar short on this post, but I wanted to show a few fun shots of when I was at the SNAP Conference a couple of weeks ago.  I learned a lot of what to do and what I do NOT want to do, so that was good.  It was great that it was at Thanksgiving Point and so close that I did not have to travel much.

This was the table setting at the dinner and welcome the first night.  How festive is that?

The Taping of Good Things Utah!

Well I made it and lived to tell about it!

This was such an awesome experience now that it is done!  I was actually very, very nervous!  My good friend, Christina went up with me to show me how everything is done.  She does a monthly segment on Good Things Utah, so I am sure that you have seen her before.  I was so glad that she went with me and showed me how everything works!  Thanks a ton Christina!  My daughter also went with us and she is such a great support.  I really appreciate her taking the time off work to go!  I have such a great support group in my family and friends. Thanks everyone!

The staff at GTU were so great to help me feel a little less nervous.  Here I am getting wired up with the microphone.

Good Things Utah

Wow oh Wow,

what have I gotten myself into now!!

Good Things Utah - Weekdays at 10 a.m. on ABC 4

Good Things Utah

I am going to be on “Good Things Utah” on Wednesday April 25, at 10 am MST!

I will be showing how to make the photo block and I would love for you to share this experience with me (just don’t tell me until after it is over).  I am really quite nervous, but also very excited about the opportunity.  I just hope that I don’t embarrass myself!

My 6 year old granddaughter thinks that I am going to be a movie star now and told me that she just can’t believe that I am going to be on TV!

Snap Conference

I am very excited and nervous to be attending my first blogging conference!  It is going to be held right here in my neck of the woods, at Thanksgiving Point!  It is a beautiful place.  If you are attending, make sure that you visit the Tulip Festival!  It is acres and acres of gorgeous blooming tulips and other spring blossoms that are well worth your time to see.

I am getting anxious to meet lots of talented bloggers.  I have so much to learn and I am hoping that I can just soak in all the knowledge and talent from all of the speakers and  other bloggers.  I am not really sure what to expect, but I just know that I am probably one of the ones that will learn the most, because I am a new blogger, and I look forward to rubbing shoulders with all of the other bloggers!

If there are any of you out there who are attending, I would love to meet you!  Please introduce yourself and we can become new friends!
