This last weekend we had my Dad’s 90th Birthday Party! My dad is Amazing…he is still independent and lives on his own. He does his own cooking, cleaning, laundry and garden! He is a great inspiration and friend to all. He is a wonderful example to all of his family and everyone loves him! Continue reading
Happy Father’s Day!
Hats off to all you wonderful dad’s, husbands, uncles, and sons!

I am a very lucky girl because I have the best dad in the world! He is kind and never says anything bad about anyone! He has been a wonderful example to me. He is a very hard worker…he was a brick mason for his profession…and he taught me the value of work.
(I took this picture a few years ago for a photography class that I was taking and it is one of my favorites!)
He thinks of others and he has a soft heart. He still grows a garden and shares with everyone, he lives on his own and does his own cooking, cleaning, laundry and yard work! He is amazing! He will be celebrating his 90th birthday this week and I think that is quite an accomplishment!
Happy Father’s Day Dad! I Love You!
I am double lucky because my kids also have the best dad! I am married to my best friend… he also is a very hard worker, he is very driven and he thinks of others! He has been the kids #1 fan and supporter in all their sports, scouting and school. He loves his children and grandchildren and would defend them in any situation that needed defending! He is a great example and leader and we all love him!
I know that some of you do not have ideal situations with your fathers or husbands and that Father’s day is a difficult day…I hope that you can find joy and happiness in a friend, uncle or brother and celebrate the good men in your lives!
I hope we can all give the good men in our lives a big hug today and wish them a very Happy Father’s Day!
Thanks for Visiting Today!
Today is my husband and I’s 39th wedding anniversary! We were talking about it last night and how it just did not seem possible for time to have gone by that fast! We have had some wonderful times and some rather bumpy times, but we have always gotten through them with the help of each other!
We were oh so young, yet so in love!
(You gotta love those side burns!)
We had our family pictures taken way back in May, but it has taken this long for me to get the finished products and get them put up on the wall! The pictures that I took down were about 18 years old! I have other family photo walls that are a lot more recent than that, but on this particular wall, I had not changed the pictures for that long!! I guess that I am just a creature of habit and love to see old pictures of my family.
Last week my daughter and I went to see the production of Wicked and we both LOVED it! Continue reading
Today for my Thursday’s thought, I decided that I had better do one more Father’s Day quotes. I think that this one is so true. Good dad’s are sometimes hard to come by. I am so grateful for my own father and the great example that he is to my family and I. We all just love him to death! I am also grateful for my husband’s father. He too, is well loved by all of us!
This would be fun printed and framed for the father in your life! To print just click on this link: Father’s Day
I am also so grateful for my husband who was always there for my children as they were growing up…and is still there for them all the time. They still value his opinion on things from raising the kids to finances to sports questions and everything in between! It is so great that they feel like they can call him anytime and he will take the time to talk to them!
If you have a great father in your life, be sure to tell him how much you love and appreciate all that he has done for you!
Happy Father’s Day to all those great dads out there!
My husband and I just celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary!? How can that be…when I still consider myself to be a forty-something? The numbers just don’t crunch!
But I am the luckiest girl alive because I am truly married to my BEST Friend!
I decided to make a little scrapbook because of a fun little idea that I saw on Pinterest, it uses all kinds of numbers and I knew that my husband would love it! Continue reading
I am having a few technical difficulties with my blog, but I have someone working on them along with our new look, so please be patient with me! :)
Today I thought that I would do a Mother’s Day thought, since it is coming up here shortly. My mother has been gone for 7 years now, but I am so grateful for all the many things that she taught me and the wonderful family life that I had growing up! I have wonderful memories of my mom helping me and teaching me so many of her different talents…sewing, cooking, quilting, and helping others. I was a very lucky girl to have a mom like her! So this thought is in her honor!
To print this, right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder, or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image” , open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to “paste”. This has been formatted to an 8 x 10 size which would be perfect for framing and giving to your favorite Mom! :)
Have a great Thursday!
Thanks for Visiting! Love Ya!
Last week it was Spring break for the school kids here. My daughter had to work everyday, but did a little “stay”cation with her kids every day after work. They went to Trafalga, bought a movie, went to the park, went swimming and went to the zoo. They asked me to go to the zoo with them, and I am so glad that I went. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time!
