Thursday’s Thought-If You Have A Garden

Since I have been spending a bit of time out in my yard, I decided that I would do a thought about gardens!  :)  I have had this thought up in my office for awhile, but decided that it needed to be prettied up a bit.  So here is my new version:

This quote is by Marcus Tullius Cicero.

I actually printed this out and put in a frame so I can now replace my old version with this new fun bright version!

I love planting flowers and I actually went with my dad yesterday to a nursery and we both got a couple of flats of flowers!  His are to plant along his driveway, mine are to plant some more pots!  I love planting pots…because you don’t have to weed them!  :)  I will take pictures when I get all of my pots planted.

The part about this saying that I have not done well with… is the library part.  I have plenty of books to read, I just cannot seem to get to them!  I love to read, but it is a luxury that I just cannot seem to find the time to do anymore.  If I read for 20-30 minutes every morning, that is about all I get in!  SOMEDAY…I will read more again!

Hope you all have a great Thursday!

Thanks for visiting!

Thursday’s Thought-Home is Where your Mom Is

I am having a few technical difficulties with my blog, but I have someone working on them along with our new look, so please be patient with me! :)

Today I thought that I would do a Mother’s Day thought, since it is coming up here shortly.  My mother has been gone for 7 years now, but I am so grateful for all the many things that she taught me and the wonderful family life that I had growing up!  I have wonderful memories of my mom helping me and teaching me so many of her different talents…sewing, cooking, quilting, and helping others. I was a very lucky girl to have a mom like her!  So this thought is in her honor!

To print this, right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder, or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image” , open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to “paste”.  This has been formatted to an 8 x 10 size which would be perfect for framing and giving to your favorite Mom! :)

Have a great Thursday!

Thanks for Visiting!  Love Ya!

Thursday’s Thought-He is Risen!

I mentioned last week that I love both the fun part of Easter and the Spiritual side!

The hope that comes with the miracle of the risen Savior is truly something to celebrate.  So this week I wanted to do a thought that reflects my feelings about this beautiful Easter event!

April 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

Here is my visiting teaching handout for our church for this month.

Again, we learn of a quality of Jesus Christ and this month it is

“Savior and Redeemer”.

How appropriate for this Easter Season!

I absolutely love the message by Sister Burton about the Savior and Redeemer!  It goes right along with the spiritual reason that we celebrate Easter and the importance of the atonement in each of our lives!  The story of the woman who compares herself to an old, used, crumpled up $20 bill is one that every single one of us needs to apply in our own life!

So, here is the printable that includes that message:

So does anyone have a party coming up that they need an invitation for?

I worked on this Relief Society activity all day yesterday, so that I will be ready for it next week!

I  had to make some little fold-overs for the table centerpieces… but I got them all done so now I can move on to my next project, right? :)

I hope that you are all having a great Thursday!

The weekend is just around the corner!  Yeah!

Have a great day everyone!  Love Ya!

March 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month the visiting teaching message for my church is about being a light to the world.

I love that every month the messages focus on a character trait of the Savior, and this month the trait is:

The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ:  Light of the World.
