Thursday’s Thought-I Would Rather Sit On A Pumpkin,

I can’t believe it…fall is right around the corner.  My big maple tree is just starting to turn red,  the kids are back in school, Swiss Days is coming this weekend, (yeah!) it is canning season and the air is finally starting to cool down a bit!  So I guess that it time to start with some fall projects and fall thoughts!  :)

This thought just makes me smile because I think that I would probably like to sit on a pumpkin alone, too!

I would rather sit on a pumpkinI think that I am going to print and frame this and put it in my kitchen, just because it makes me smile to think about sitting on my own pumpkin!

Even though there are still  a few days left in August…Happy Fall Y’all!  :)

Thanks for visiting today, I appreciate your support!

Thursday’s Thought-“You Are The Ice…

My DIL and I are attending the Roots Tech conference this weekend and the only reason that we signed up is to listen to the

“PIONEER WOMAN”

she is seriously one of my idols and I cannot wait to hear her!  We have seen her once before when she was in Salt Lake City for her first cookbook signing!  We do not even know what the other classes are, but she is a keynote speaker and so we wanted to be there!

Here is just a fun little thought for you today.  This could be used for Valentines day, an anniversary, or just to put with your Coca-Cola collection!  We are big Coke fans here at are our house, so this would be a perfect Valentine for me to give to my husband along with a case of his favorite bottled Mexican Coke!

Can you believe that this is the last Thursday’s Thought before Christmas?!  Where did December go?  How are all of your Christmas preparations coming?  Are you in panic mode, or enjoying the season mode?  I am somewhere in the middle of that.  I have most of the projects done and the shopping done, now I just need to get the wrapping and the delivering done!  :)

I thought that I would save this thought for right before Christmas because this is the

Real Reason for the Season.

Thursday’s Thought-May Your Days Be…

How is everyone doing with all of your Christmas preparations?  I am going a little bit crazy about now!  I am realizing that there are only two weeks left until Christmas and really I only have a week and a half for all of my family gifts, because we will have our Christmas party a few days early because it is not our year for Christmas.

(We do every other year for Christmas and Thanksgiving to try to accommodate the in-laws.)

I have been sewing like a crazy lady the last three days!  I have sewn 3 quilt tops and quilted two of them!  I will get the other one quilted tomorrow and then I will have to do all of the bindings!  That is what takes me a long time because of all the hand stitching, but I guess that I will just have to put on couple of good Christmas movies and see how much I can get done!  :)  I will post about them after I  have given them to the recipients!

Here is my thought for today.

I hope that all of your days are Merry & Bright and that all of your Christmas wishes are coming true!

Thursdays Thought-Today You are You

I kind of have a thing for Dr. Seuss, and my thought today comes from the book, “Happy Birthday to You!”

This thought is perfect to frame and give to the birthday person to let them know just how special and unique they are!

I love this saying and I hope that all of you out there know just how special YOU are!

School has not started yet in our neck of the woods, but this would also be a great saying to frame to give your child before school starts, or for the older kids, it would make a fun locker sign to hang in their locker!  Some children just need to be reminded how great they are when they have some anxiety about going to school!

This is formatted to an 8 x 10 print, for those that wish to frame it.

I hope that you all have a great day today and that you will all realize YOUR potential and that you will see the potential in all those around you too!

Happy Thursday Everyone!  Love Ya!

Thursday’s Thought-I Can Do Hard Things

I was having a frustrating day last Friday and I was in a hurry and everything was going wrong.  The faster I tried to go the more frustrated I got.  I was driving on the freeway and people were cutting me off or pulling in front of me and slowing down,  I was becoming a nervous wreck.  I finally just said to myself…this is ridiculous,  you are getting frustrated over petty little things.  What if you had some real problems to worry about!  It was a good wake up call to myself!  There are bad things going on all around us, but yet there are so many more good things, if we will just keep our focus on the positive.

Then on Sunday at church we had a lesson on trials and there were a lot of different comments about how we handle our trials.  There are several ladies in our neighborhood that are going through some pretty tough trials right now and one of them made the comment about how she had this saying right by her bed and one day her daughter came in when she was having a teary moment and through her tears, she said to her daughter that she could not do hard things.  Her daughter replied, “Yes you can, they may just be through some tears, but you can do hard things, mom.”  That really touched my heart and I have thought about that many times this week.

It is all in our attitude!

So my thought for this week is the saying that my neighbor has by her bed:

Thoughts-3-000-Page-1

I need to print this out and frame it so I can have a good reminder!   I have so many great examples all of around me of people that are doing hard things.  I am so proud of them and I appreciate their strength and examples.

If you would like to print this, right click over image and go to “save image as”  then save in a folder.  It is formatted for an 8 x 10 picture.  You can send it to your favorite photo processing center or print your own!

I think that I will look for a fun frame to put this one in!

Have a great day today and remember that

You Can Do Hard Things!  Love Ya!
