Thursday’s Thought-Home is Where your Mom Is

I am having a few technical difficulties with my blog, but I have someone working on them along with our new look, so please be patient with me! :)

Today I thought that I would do a Mother’s Day thought, since it is coming up here shortly.  My mother has been gone for 7 years now, but I am so grateful for all the many things that she taught me and the wonderful family life that I had growing up!  I have wonderful memories of my mom helping me and teaching me so many of her different talents…sewing, cooking, quilting, and helping others. I was a very lucky girl to have a mom like her!  So this thought is in her honor!

To print this, right click over the image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder, or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image” , open your favorite program like Word or Presentations and right click again and go to “paste”.  This has been formatted to an 8 x 10 size which would be perfect for framing and giving to your favorite Mom! :)

Have a great Thursday!

Thanks for Visiting!  Love Ya!

Thursday’s Thought-Life is the Sum…

Today’s thought makes me reflect on some of the choices that we make…

Some are obviously better than others, but I hope that we can learn from the choices we make, to help us make better choices in the future!

This would be a great print to frame for a gift for a graduating student, or someone going out on their own or just for a reminder to each of us… to think about making good choices!

To print, right click over image and go to “save image as” then save in a folder.   Or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image”  then open your favorite program like Word or Presentations, right click again and go to “paste”.  This is formatted to an 8 x 10 size.

So let’s go out and make better choices today, shall we?  :)

Have a great day today!

Italian Soda Bar

Happy Friday everyone!  Are you as excited for the weekend as I am?

Today I want to share a fun Italian Soda Bar that we did last Sunday when everyone was here for dinner.

It was a big hit and everyone kept going back for more!  I have done these before, but this time I used Sparkling Water instead of Club Soda and I think that I liked them a little better with the Sparkling Water.  I also had cream that they could add to it, if they wanted to. (but I forgot to put the “creme” bottle in the picture)

These are also wonderful with a dollop of whipped cream on the top!

Thursday’s Thought-He is Risen!

I mentioned last week that I love both the fun part of Easter and the Spiritual side!

The hope that comes with the miracle of the risen Savior is truly something to celebrate.  So this week I wanted to do a thought that reflects my feelings about this beautiful Easter event!

He-is-Risen-000-Page-1

This is formatted to 8 x 10.  To print, right click over image and go to “save image as”  then save in a folder.  Or you can right click over the image and go to “copy image” then open up a program like Word or Presentations.  Right click again and go to “paste”, you can then print it.

So now you have printables to celebrate both the fun side of Easter and the truly remarkable Spiritual side!

Have a great day everyone!

April 2014 Visiting Teaching Handout

Here is my visiting teaching handout for our church for this month.

Again, we learn of a quality of Jesus Christ and this month it is

“Savior and Redeemer”.

How appropriate for this Easter Season!

I absolutely love the message by Sister Burton about the Savior and Redeemer!  It goes right along with the spiritual reason that we celebrate Easter and the importance of the atonement in each of our lives!  The story of the woman who compares herself to an old, used, crumpled up $20 bill is one that every single one of us needs to apply in our own life!

So, here is the printable that includes that message:

April Conference Snack Tags

This weekend is the General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints  (the Mormons).  I love conference weekend and look forward to it every six months!  For those of you that want to know what conference is all about…you can check it out here.

I love conference weekend, because we can stay home and watch it on TV (in our jamies, if we choose to!)  Sometimes we have all of our families together and sometimes my husband and I just watch it together.  But there is always a great spirit in our home and I love the messages that are taught and the things that I can learn!

I have already downloaded and printed my conference packet from Sugardoodle and I have my conference notebook ready to go.. to take notes…doodle…and just enjoy the weekend!

It is always a must to have some great treats or food while watching conference! :)

So I decided that I would make some fun tags to go along with your conference goodies!  These are fun to pass along to your VT sisters,  or to make for your family, or friends!  You can tie them onto individual serving size packages for everyone, or make one big package for the whole family!

Thursday’s Thought-Here Comes Peter Cottontail

I love to celebrate all the different holidays with my grandkids and Easter is no exception!  We love to celebrate with fun Easter egg hunts and Easter dinner.  My own kids have some very fond memories of Easter Egg Hunts that their grandpa used to do and the excitement of trying to find that one “golden” egg that had the $5 bill in it!  It is fun to now try to make some fun memories for their kids and the excitement of finding those “golden” eggs!

But I also love the spiritual celebration that Easter brings!

So for today’s thought I decided to do a fun whimsical thought and then I will do a spiritual one later!

So Here Comes Peter Cottontail…
